Job Description

Network Information Security organization is tasked with designing, implementing and maintaining information security capabilities and services for the PwC Network of member firms. The organization consists of highly skilled information security professionals across the globe that are focused on developing a leading security program across the Network of Firms, to foster clients’ trust in our ability to secure their most sensitive data, to better position PwC to address clients’ evolving needs, and to harmonize the internal firm security strategy with client services go-to-market strategy. The group is leading PwC's Network Security Transformation Programme, which is a multi-year programme to enhance existing capabilities and build new capabilities to combat the ever more complex cyber threats.

This team is responsible for maintaining and supporting infrastructure and information security service areas to provide consistent delivery and supportability for a secure and dedicated environment. This team plans for growth and refresh activities in the environment and works with global teams to resolve issues.

Position/Program Requirements

Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 6

Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or GED

Degree Preferred: Bachelor's degree

Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates intimate knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • IT infrastructure and information security and the ability to understand the general architecture, design and operating characteristics;

  • Architecture and system support which is used for deployment globally;

  • IT infrastructure and information security environment across multiple technologies as well as IT and information security service offerings and the Firm's business at a national level; and,

  • LAN/WAN Implementation and Upgrades, Internet Upgrades, Linux and Windows Server OS, VMWare administration, MySQL, MSSQL, Apache, IIS administration, Scripting (Python or bash), Splunk and Storage (SAN, EMC, netbackup).

Demonstrates intimate knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Utilize high analytical skills in troubleshooting and maintenance of complex technical environments;

  • Document technical concepts and procedures and cross train others on these areas of specialty; and,

  • Develop work approach and project plans to meet client requirements, manage and monitor progress of plan.

Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Leading operations-related initiatives on existing infrastructure and information security, supervising the overall capacity and refresh projects, and giving direction to team members assigned to the effort;

-Defining operations and troubleshooting methodologies followed by the rest of the team;

-Leading operational projects of a complex technical nature, including guidance and direction for multiple team members with significant independence;

  • Providing guidance and direction on complex issues and accepting difficult cases;

-Determining strategic direction including performance management and defect analysis processes;

-Influencing others inside and outside of their team by sharing expertise and lessons learned;

  • Mitigating risk by developing best practices and being involved in the development and testing of disaster recovery plans;

-Adapting to a rapidly changing environment and taking direction from multiple sponsors and stakeholders;

-Overseeing operational initiatives;

-Collaborating with business owners or clients to optimize high impact technical infrastructure services, client applications or client enabling applications;

-Leading cross functional teams; and,

-Developing plans for continuous improvement to meet the ever-changing needs of the Firm.
