Job Description

Network Information Security organization is tasked with designing, implementing and maintaining information security capabilities and services for the PwC Network of member firms. The organization consists of highly skilled information security professionals across the globe that are focused on developing a leading security program across the Network of Firms, to foster clients’ trust in our ability to secure their most sensitive data, to better position PwC to address clients’ evolving needs, and to harmonize the internal firm security strategy with client services go-to-market strategy. The group is leading PwC's Network Security Transformation Programme, which is a multi-year programme to enhance existing capabilities and build new capabilities to combat the ever more complex cyber threats.

This team is responsible for maintaining and supporting infrastructure and information security service areas to provide consistent delivery and supportability for a secure and dedicated environment. This team plans for growth and refresh activities in the environment and works with global teams to resolve issues.

Position/Program Requirements

Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 4

Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or GED

Degree Preferred: Bachelor's degree

Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Understanding of the IT infrastructure and information security environment while supporting a wide range of firm technologies; and,

  • Installing/configuring/operating; LAN/WAN Implementation and Upgrades, Internet Implementation and Upgrades, Palo Alto firewalls, Linux and Windows Server OS, Database administration (MySQL and MSSQL), Apache, IIS administration, Scripting (Python or bash), Enterprise networking (switching, routing, load balancers, DNS), Splunk and Storage (SAN, EMC, netbackup).

Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

-Supporting systems including project participation for refresh and expansion activities;

-Handling complex issues that require advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques;

-Contributing new intellectual capital through the development of standard operational policies and procedures;

-Planning the expansion and growth of the IT and security environment, maintenance, refresh, and upgrades of systems providing infrastructure and information security services;

-Collaborating and sharing industry leading practices in IT;

-Developing documentation including processes and procedures for consistent maintenance and support;

-Developing utilities to automate repetitive tasks to reduce time of support;

  • Interacting with customers and/or functional peer group managers, IT, and information security management on moderately complex issues;

-Documenting technical concepts and procedures and cross training others; and,

-Maintaining secure and effective technical infrastructure services.
