Job Description

PwC's Learning and Development function is a key enabler of the PwC Experience, an element of the Firm's overall strategy.

Integrating with the business, and implementing best-in-class teaching practices, this function supports and enables higher quality, and more relevant learning that is aligned with high performing teams.

The Learning Studio is responsible for the design, development and delivery of both formal and informal learning solutions and assets that create the development experience for PwC professionals. The studio combines specialty functions in live and digital learning, communities and collaborative learning, content curation, and learner experience to ensure partners and staff have access to the right learning at the right time and in the right place.

Members of the Learning Studio work collaboratively across multiple functions within Learning and Development

to translate our client?s development needs into innovative and effective solutions across lines of services and through a variety of modalities.

The Design and Development team combines aspects of Design, Project Management and Execution, with some specialization in Live and Digital learning approaches. Designs learning solutions, leveraging the overall learning "blueprint" and/or fast tracks solution directly to production; develops detailed project plans; drives content development and builds the learning solutions; defines and executes the evaluation and data collection strategy; collects and maintains required compliance documentation. Highly integrated with Learning Strategist, Architects, other Learning Studio functions and Enablement teams.

Position/Program Requirements

Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 8

Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or GED

Degree Preferred: Graduate degree

Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates thought leader-level knowledge with, and/or a proven record of success, directing efforts in the following areas:

-Flexible understanding of adult learning theory (including educational background and significant work experience), digital learning technologies and project management; and,

-Adult learning theory, instructional design and digital technologies, evaluation and assessment of learning, performance analysis and improvement, digital learning technologies, project management and stakeholder management.

Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in the following areas:

  • Identifying and addressing client needs: developing and sustaining extensive client relationships using networking, negotiation and persuasion skills to identify potential new service opportunities; preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials; defining resource requirements, project workflow, and budgets;

-Translating strategic priorities into value add-development opportunities that lead to business results;

  • Leading teams to generate a vision, to establish direction and motivate virtually-based members, as well as create an atmosphere of trust, leverage diverse views, coach staff, to encourage improvement and innovation under tight deadlines, while maintaining their creative edge;

-Strategic and practical leadership experience in managing and inspiring virtually-based professionals, supporting their ability to respond quickly under tight deadlines, while maintaining their creative edge;

-Guiding/overseeing multiple project teams, while leveraging extensive project management skills to achieve curriculum/organizational goals;

-Working collaboratively to drive applied research objectives, learning theory applications, and continued enhancement of methods, processes, and tools/technologies;

-Translating strategic priorities into value add-development opportunities that lead to business results;

-Understanding adult learning theory, instructional design and digital technologies, evaluation and assessment of learning, performance analysis and improvement, and stakeholder management;

-Collaborating through use of consulting and communication skills and persuasive ability to influence without authority;

-Nurturing the skills and development of team members to achieve team goals; and,

-Working within a professional services organization, preferably a Big 4 Accounting environment.
