Job Description

PwC's US Finance organization is a strategic business advisor responsible for managing the firm's financial risk, including: financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with strategic and tactical matters. Services include: budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, data and analytics, shared services and financing. Finance works daily with US Leadership, engagement partners and managers on managing the profitability of engagements.

Finance has assisted other PwC Network firms regionalize their financial operations. Finance also analyzes potential acquisitions, assisting with the integration (including system needs) and educating partners/managers on how to navigate our various financial systems.

LoS Finance, which is comprised of Vertical, Regional and Business Unit (BU) teams, is the primary interface to partners and client service staff. They are responsible for working closely with their Leaders in developing, improving, and driving financial and operational processes for the business. This will include developing and executing budgets and forecasts, asset management (i.e. billings and collections activities), and overseeing engagement economics for individual partners, clients, verticals, markets, BUs, and regions. They will manage portfolios at the various reporting levels as well as identify opportunities for the Firm to gain competitive advantages.Â

The Line of Service Budget, Analysis and Accounting team provides critical support to LoS finance team and finance stakeholders.

Position/Program Requirements

Minimum Years of Experience: 5

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree

Degree(s) Preferred: Graduate degree or Bachelor's degree

in Accounting or Finance

Certification(s) Preferred: CPA

Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrated knowledge providing direct financial support to national support units.

Demonstrated knowledge of unfavorable spending trends. monthly accruals and Internal code maintenance.

Skills Preferred:

Proven ability to negotiate and approve short term secondees and serves as single point of contact for foreign billing


Proven ability to assist in the development of Line of Services business rules .

Proven ability to act as liaison with central finance and regional staff on issues relating to the monthly close.

Proven ability to coach, train and lead members of the Finance organization in a wide variety of areas including but not limited to teaming, interpersonal skills, relationship building, leadership skills, strategy and business knowledge.

Proven ability to manage close processes.
