PwC's US Finance organization is a strategic business advisor responsible for managing the firmâ€™s financial risk, including: financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with strategic and tactical matters. Services include: budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, shared services and financing. Finance works daily with US Leadership, engagement partners and managers on managing the profitability of engagements.
Finance has assisted other PwC Network firms regionalize their financial operations. Finance also analyzes potential acquisitions, assisting with the integration (including system needs) and educating partners/managers on how to navigate our various financial systems.
The Treasury team manages the firm's capital structure, cash management operations, financial and enterprise risk management functions, and provides extensive transaction support to the firm’s strategic initiatives. The Treasury team also manages the firm's investments, maintains the firm’s banking, insurance and investment relationships, and supports for the firm’s financial planning and reporting operations, including cash forecasting, budgeting and account reconciliation.
The Risk Management team supports Operational Risk Management in all aspects of claims administration and is responsible for maintaining all insurance and claims related documentation.
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 4 years of experience involving foreign exchange risk-related matters
Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or GED
Degree(s) Preferred: Bachelor's degree
The selected individual will participate as a member of our Treasury team and should possess extensive knowledge of and/or a proven record of success of the following areas, especially as it pertains to a global network of professional services consulting firms:
Providing functional specialized knowledge of foreign exchange and financial risk management matters;
Hedging foreign exchanges products and FX risk mitigation;
Conducting financial risk assessments, quantification and reporting;
Performing financial analyses and P&L and balance sheet impacts of derivative transactions, preferably in the context of Partnership accounting; and
Understanding and leveraging market knowledge and intelligence on macroeconomic developments affecting the foreign currency markets.
Demonstrated proven extensive abilities and success with managing Treasury-focused foreign exchange risk-related matters for a global network of professional services consulting firms, emphasizing the following areas:
Recommending hedging strategies and programs to Treasury leadership, which may include currency forwards, swaps, options or operational alternatives;
Identifying the firm’s foreign exchange exposures to P&L and Balance Sheet, as well as providing resolutions and recommendations;
Identifying and measuring foreign exchange exposures on both individual and aggregated bases;
Creating and producing reporting on foreign exchange exposures, incorporating scenario or Value at Risk analyses;
Implementing approved hedging programs that comply with the firm’s Hedging Policy;
Validating the optimal execution of hedges with bank counterparties, including automated trading using FX All;
Confirming that hedges are structured to obtain hedge accounting treatment, with “non hedge” accounting on an exception basis only; and,
Monitoring and reporting on the status and effectiveness of the hedging program from both economics and accounting perspectives.
