PwC's Marketing and Sales function is a client-focused, high-performing team, which is strategically aligned to the Firm's priorities and passionately focused on positioning a distinctive PwC brand in the marketplace and driving long-term revenue growth for the Firm.
The Pursuit Center of Excellence (CoE) is focused on improving the quality and efficiency of current pursuit and sourcing processes for Advisory's largest and strategic opportunities. The Pursuit CoE provides pursuit teams with resources to manage and write large-scale proposals, as well as effectively price opportunities to provide the best value to clients while maximizing the profitability of the Firm and remaining competitive in the marketplace.
The Negotiations function focuses in on the negotiations and pricing strategies for large Advisory deals, working in conjunction with the appropriate relationship and/or engagement Partner and various internal stakeholders (e.g. Finance, Office of General Counsel, Risk & Quality). It influences the ongoing negotiations with the client, with the objective of fostering the best possible business outcome (including longer term account objectives) from a profitability perspective for the firm. Its major priority is helping the Advisory practice bring in new work on commercially reasonable elements of the contract (deal structure, engagement margin, fees, etc.), as well as assisting with the resolution of material disputes where PwC is at risk of a write-down, settlement or other material concessions.
Additionally, this function is responsible for delivering materials on lessons learned and leading practices; helping develop do-it-yourself tools, and drive advances in negotiation strategies, deal structures, and pricing strategies. Finally, this function will work with Advisory’s Pursuit Center of Excellence (PCOE) in leveraging the output listed above for a broader audience and negotiating on behalf of the firm.
