Job Description

Our growing Technology, Information, Communications Entertainment and Media industry team provides strategy, management, technology and risk consulting services to help a diverse set of clients around the world anticipate and address their most complex business challenges. TICE serves clients in the following industries: Entertainment, Media and Communications, Technology and Private Equity.

Our IT Function Transformation consultants help our clients improve business value through optimizing efficiencies and effectiveness of their IT capabilities. This high performing group plays a critical role in multi-disciplinary business strategy teams. We enable our clients to understand, plan for, and realize strategic business opportunities presented by information technology through a collection of capabilities such as IT organization, IT cost and value, and IT governance.

As a valued member of the PricewaterhouseCoopers Information Management team, you will help our clients in the following manner:

-Ownership of the enterprise architecture development lifecycle for clients.

-Coordinate the development of architectural frameworks and lead the population of these frameworks with coherent and consistent architectural views in the context of the client's business environment. The individual is responsible for establishing the scope of the enterprise in question, setting down architectural principles and vision and for ensuring the rigor and integrity of the enterprise architecture, together with associated deliverables

-Evaluate the feasibility of the enterprise architecture and technologies related to a business change

-Ensure technology consistency and integration with a client's business strategies

-Identify risks associated with the enterprise architecture and various technologies

-Assess a client's current enterprise architecture, processes and performance from a technical standpoint

-Understand and present the tactical and strategic benefits of adopting a consistent architectural approach within the context of the client's business to help the client justify his investments.

-Assist in prioritizing and developing architectural improvements


-Recommend alternative technical solutions, methodologies or strategies

-Advise CXO's on trends and emerging enterprise data management, data warehousing and business intelligence (Enterprise Data Management/ Data Warehousing/ Business Intelligence) technologies and strategies.

-Assist in prioritizing and preparing Data Architecture and recommend alternative data management solutions, methodologies or strategies

-Collaborate with a team of architects within business, application/systems, data/information and technical architecture disciplines and must be able to explain clearly the benefits of an architectural approach.

Position/Program Requirements

Minimum Years of Experience: 7

Additional years of experience verbiage: years contributing on or managing enterprise business architecture projects

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree

Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates proven extensive knowledge of and success with managing project management engagements involving enterprise transformation concepts, practices, methods, principles, which includes a comprehensive understanding of evolving industry trends, practices and standards, and the following Enterprise Architecture-related areas:

-Skills and Maturity Assessments;

-Capability Planning and Rollout;

-Frameworks, Tools and Methods, including Zachman; TOGAF; FEA; DODAF;

-Blueprint and Roadmap Development


-Standard and Reference Architecture Development;

-Project Architecture Support


-Solution and/or Vendor Selection and Proof of Concept Development


-Architecture roles and skills, principles and standards, governance models, underlying tools, and supporting processes;

-Business architecture views and viewpoints (conceptual and logical): Strategy modeling; Business capability and process design; Information design; Organization design; People Capabilities design; Customer Offering design; and, Corporate Structure design


-Solution architecture views and viewpoints (conceptual and logical): Application design; Infrastructure design; Data design; Integration design

­ Coordination, development and maintenance of enterprise architecture methodologies and techniques: This includes standards and a guideline for enterprise wide use in systems development processes, as well as involves the following:

­ Identifying emerging needs for Architecture knowledge, support, and governance standards;

­ Establishing patterns of interaction across IT organizations and engage to trigger and carry out Architecture Services


­ Defining processes to set and assess the overall guidelines, standards and architectural principles for architecting solutions


­ Supporting Architecture Governance processes, reviewing all significant business transformation projects and production systems;

  • Aligning with internal teams to provide appropriate budget and resource commitments to support roadmaps


Demonstrates a proven record of success in roles within a professional services firm or large enterprise that supports a team servicing clients including:

  • Understanding and documenting existing systems and technology;

  • Formulating business and technical solutions;

  • Developing architecture diagrams, drawings, and visual communications;

  • Developing models (conceptual, logical, physical, as-built) for business and technology solutions;

  • Identifying, assessing and selecting alternative solutions;

  • Gathering, analyzing and articulating high-level business capabilities and requirements;

  • Coaching, mentoring and supporting systems development teams in implementing architectures
