PwC's US Finance organization is a strategic business advisor responsible for managing the firm's financial risk, including: financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with strategic and tactical matters. Services include: budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, data and analytics, shared services and financing. Finance works daily with US Leadership, engagement partners and managers on managing the profitability of engagements.
Finance has assisted other PwC Network firms regionalize their financial operations. Finance also analyzes potential acquisitions, assisting with the integration (including system needs) and educating partners/managers on how to navigate our various financial systems.
The Partnership Tax group is made up of two teams: Domestic Tax and International Tax. These teams are responsible for work related to the Firm's tax obligations in all jurisdictions (i.e., filing the Firm's federal, state and foreign income tax returns, sales and use tax, other ad valorem tax returns), managing tax audits, and supporting the partners' individual tax planning and compliance.
The Domestic and International Accounting Operations team oversees the functions and processes related to financial operations of the US Firm and its Foreign subsidiaries.
The Domestic Tax Accounting Department is responsible for the Tax and Cash ledger accounting and reporting, Cash Income projections and Taxable Net Income projections. This team provides financial data and analysis to the Partnership Tax department and partners with senior leadership in developing and implementing tax planning strategies.
Minimum Years of Experience: 1
Minimum Degree Required: Associate's degree
General knowledge of functions in business operations, business processes, organization structure, financial systems and software.
General knowledge of preparing returns and researching tax issues for federal, state and local tax.
Thoroughly developed working knowledge of MS Office products and Lotus Notes.
Proven experience to manage management's work schedule and department meetings.
Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and align resources to provide that priorities are met.
Proven experience to research tax issues and prepare supporting schedules and calculations for income tax returns.
Proven ability to assist and build solid relationships with all levels of the department, including partners, management, staff members, and other Finance groups of the Firm.
Proven ability to apply and adapt skills to changing circumstances and needs.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly in all forms.
