Global Enterprise Tax Solutions (GETS) positions at PwC are at the forefront of the tax profession

As part of PwC’s GETS Technology team, our goal is to be the industry leading innovator of Technology Enabled Tax Solutions while partnering with our clients to provide maximum value and efficiency across their global tax lifecycle processes, disrupting the market, and delivering strategic commercial assets for PwC. The GETS IT team has extensive experience in a holistic suite of tax applications that support our clients the entire tax life cycle.

As part of PwC’s State and Local Tax (SALT) practice, the GETS state tax technology team is dedicated to providing software and services that help our clients maximize productivity and fully leverage data.

GETS develops and maintains a full suite of integrated products to support data automation, workflow simplification, analytics, planning and compliance.

Position/Program Requirements

Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 3

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree

Degree Preferred: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Accounting, Information Systems, or other business related field.

Certification(s) Preferred: CPA, Member of the Bar, Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (CMI), PMP, or Enrolled Agent.

Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates thorough knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Utilizing and applying into projects State and Federal Income Tax knowledge including consolidations;

  • Analyzing and processing financial system data using analytic and business intelligence tools;

  • Managing multiple engagements with the ability to communicate effectively;

  • Developing specifications for technology solutions and working with developers to turn complex tax rules into simple solutions for our customers;

  • Reading e-file data and utilizing electronic filing;

  • Identifying opportunities for automation and process improvements; and,

  • Working with multiple stakeholders during all phases of the development and project lifecycle.

Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Analytic and business intelligence tools such as Alteryx and Tableau;

  • Database skills including SQL;

  • Microsoft Office;

  • Tax Research tools such as BNA or CCH;

  • Financial systems including sub-ledgers and other systems feeding the general ledger;

  • XML and electronic filing; and,

  • Industry tax technology leading practices and tools.
