Job Description

PwC New Ventures will identify, develop and commercialize technology-enabled products that deliver PwC value, knowledge and experience to our clients. Each new venture will focus on a data-driven platform or other IP-based solutions that leverage emerging technologies and new business models. Through the process of building new ventures, we will foster a culture of innovation within the Firm.

PwC's Cybercrime group investigates network/computer intrusions and data theft committed by insiders, corrupt competitors, criminal enterprises, and foreign governments. This mission involves the forensic collection and analysis of digital evidence, computer forensics, live memory forensics, network forensics, malware forensics, providing leadership and advice to client stakeholders, reporting artefacts verbally and in written reports, collaborating with law enforcement and regulators, and developing containment strategies. Further, the cybercrime group conducts proactive cyber risk assessments to identify previously undetected vulnerabilities and/or actual intrusions.

As part of the Cybersecurity offering, PwC performs advanced analytics in the Cyber world. As a cloud integration specialist, you will work with clients to properly integrate their cyber data into PwC’s analytical tools.

The Cloud Integration specialist team inside PwC’s New Ventures group provides critical support to PwC’s New Venture offerings, and the primary responsibilities include:

  • Working to deploy, maintain, and update the New Venture cloud offering and its components;

  • Configuring monitoring and addresses alerts from monitoring;

  • Supporting issues from both customers and platform requests including client facing help desk as well as DevOps;

  • Working with Product PRM team to suggest updates to the playbooks that deploy the platform; and,

  • Coordinating with Data Analytics and Product R and D to deploy appropriate data pipeline and analytics stack for each engagement.

Position/Program Requirements

Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 1 year of professional roles involving cybersecurity and/or cloud-focused analytics

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree

Degree Preferred: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Analytics , Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or related sciences

Certification(s) Preferred: Google Cloud Platform GCP Qualified Developer Amazon Web Services AWS certifications Certified Solutions Architect or Developer Oracle Certified Professional Java SE 7 or greater

Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates some knowledge of and success in roles performing cloud infrastructure deployment, data integration, data analysis and data quality solutions in support of system integration data migration analysis and reporting which includes but is not limited to the following areas:

  • Identification and integration of data from a variety of sources;

  • Integration of data from multiple sources cloud, on premise to a cloud environment;

  • Experience in high volume data stream processing and lambda architectures;

  • Experience in understanding performance and cost implications in high volume transactional systems and big data storage;

  • Assessment of data quality and its potential impact on analyses;

  • Development of dashboards and reports to analyze data in a big data environment;

  • Leveraging enterprise security data sources, including log data/security event data produced by security monitoring systems firewalls intrusion detection systems etc;

  • Deployment and integration of customized solutions, which may use cloud components, for clients' analytical needs;

  • Experience using different types of databases RDBMS and NoSQL, document graph and columnar databases including the design development analyses and system integration customization;

  • Experience working with REST services;

  • Experience working with OAuth SAML 2 0;

  • Clear communications when writing speaking, developing deliverables, and/or presenting to client business and technology personnel vendors or subcontractors and cyber team members;

  • Knowledge of and success in roles conducting requirements gathering design hands on development of analyses and supervising teams;

  • Support in the development of analyses and cloud integration; and,

  • Experience providing solution architecture guidance to clients as part of a project team.

Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates some abilities to identify and address client needs in consulting role including the following:

  • Prior consulting experience or clientservice background;

  • Demonstrates proven abilities with identifying and resolving issues related to business and system requirements analysis and the ability to add value in design and development discussions;

  • Skilled in programming scripting languages Java Python/JavaScript; Cloud solution architecture or development Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft, Azure, or other cloud environments;

  • Data Streaming and Big Data Analytics: Apache, Spark, Hadoop, MapReduce, Google BigQuery, Google BigTable, Amazon RedShift;

  • Experience working with ElasticSearch, Kibana, D3Js Graph Databases, Gremlin messaging solutions, Kafka, RabbitMQ;

  • Performance and leveraging of skills that emphasize troubleshooting and software debugging; and,

  • Experience working in an Agile software development model.
