A career in our Tax Technology Innovation practice, within Innovation services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients’ tax departments redesign, redefine, and redeploy tax to be a strategic asset across the enterprise. You’ll focus on assisting clients incorporate increased automation in the tax reporting process, increase analytic capabilities through data integration, and create solid internal controls that will enable the Tax function to deliver better quality output and contribute more strategically to organisational decision making.

You’ll focus on providing highly customisable platforms across the tax practice through research, development, and integration to build adaptable enterprise capabilities. Responsibilities

As a Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above

  • Be involved in the financial management of clients

  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients

  • Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen

  • Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges

  • Assist in the management and delivering of large projects

  • Train, coach, and supervise staff

  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues

  • Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

Minimum Years of Experience :

5 year(s) with prior DevOps, automation, and/or Linux experience.

Certification(s) Required :

CPA, Member of Bar, or one of the following: Enrolled Agent, PhD - Computer Science/Information Science (OR STEM Equivalent), Professional Certification in Project Management (PMP), Six Sigma Black Belt (Lean, Green, Black, Master), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified Professional Developer, Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), Certified Software Tester (CSTE), UX Certificate - Nielson Norman Group, Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) or equivalent institutional Data Science Program, Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Developer (JAVA, SQL, SAP), Lotus Professional Certification, Certified Software Quality Analyst (QAI), Certified Software Quality Test Engineer (QAI), Masters - Computer Science/Information Science, Oracle Certified Professional , Professional Certification in Business Analysis, Certified Compensation Professional, Global, Remuneration Professional, Technology Specialist: Adobe Technologies, or Technology Specialist: IBM Technologies.

Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success in DevOps tools and methodologies including the following:

  • Container management platforms (e.g. Rancher, Kubernetes, Swarm);

  • Docker;

  • Logging technologies (ELK stack, Splunk);

  • Continuous integration tools (e.g. Jenkins, Gitlab);

  • Linux Administration experience;

  • Cloud hosting solutions (AWS preferred);

  • Previous J2EE Application development experience (Struts, Spring, etc.); and,

  • High Availability/Resiliency methodologies.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Liaising with other tax technology partners and teams including internal PwC IT Support Teams, TTD Operations group, GETS SysAdmins, Application Development teams, and various 3rd party vendors;

  • Managing and mentoring a small team of DevOps support staff;

  • Developing and coordinating both a DevOps strategic vision and a business continuity plan across technology offerings;

  • Developing and leading a cloud migration strategy;

  • Driving change and continuous improvement through the adoption of proven development practices, utilizing creative analytical problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a high attention to detail and quality;

  • Identifying and addressing technology opportunities; and,

  • Managing multiple projects including preparing concise, accurate documents; and maintaining flexibility for unanticipated issues or opportunities.
