Preferred Knowledge/Skills :

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Having experience with and knowledge of Epic electronic health record (EHR) systems, preferably including implementation experience;

  • Managing clinical or revenue cycle business processes related to core EHR modules; and/or,

  • Performing assessments to evaluate controls, security, Segregation of Duties (SOD), and potential for optimization of systems and clinical or revenue cycle processes within the EHR;

  • Possessing knowledge of Epic implementation methodology and terminology including phases and testing approaches;

  • Understanding of Epic data, masterfiles and reporting;

  • Focusing on innovation, leveraging data for tool development and visualizations related to the EHR to manage and monitor risks;

  • Understanding of operational processes, risk, regulatory and compliance requirements within Healthcare Providers;

  • Operating in a professional services firm or large enterprise as a implementer, consultant, data analyst, risk professional, auditor or business process specialist;

  • Performing on project teams and providing deliverables involving multiphase assessment of processes and risk related to clinical/patient safety and/or revenue cycle;

  • Demonstrating proven project management skills to manage programs, client input on numerous processes, deliverables, timelines and budgets;

  • Identifying and addressing client needs, including developing and sustaining meaningful client relationships and understanding the client’s business and effectively communicating with client leadership;

  • Supervising staff, which includes creating a positive environment by monitoring workloads of the team, performing a critical review of other’s work, coaching staff, and keeping leadership informed of progress and issues;

  • Possessing creative thinking, individual initiative, and flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks;

  • Researching and analyzing pertinent client, industry, and technical matters;

  • Having the ability to obtain deep industry sector(s) specialization over time; and,

  • Having the ability to approach clients and team members in an organized and knowledgeable manner and to deliver clear requests for information.
