PwC Senior Manager - Tax Reporting & Strategy in Atlanta, Georgia

A career in our Tax Reporting and Strategy practice, within Innovation services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients’ tax departments redesign, redefine, and redeploy tax to be a strategic asset across the enterprise. You’ll focus on assisting clients incorporate increased automation in the tax reporting process, increase analytic capabilities through data integration, and create solid internal controls that will enable the Tax function to deliver better quality output and contribute more strategically to organisational decision making.

You’ll focus on enhancing the tax reporting process by incorporating increased automation, integrating quality data, developing analytic capabilities, and utilising technology to deliver better quality output in less time.

The TAPI group within Tax Reporting & Strategy (TRS) offers management consulting services to clients and to their large corporate tax functions, by monitoring and analyzing legislative and regulatory tax developments, developing strategies in anticipation of tax law changes and regulatory developments, analyzing the economic impact of tax legislation and federal budget proposals, and addressing technology needs for tax function effectiveness.

  • Demonstrates intimate knowledge of developing and maintaining high-level, overall design plans for logical and technical IT systems architecture, including leveraging collaborative technologies such as SharePoint.

  • Demonstrates intimate knowledge of providing technical delivery and consulting across the organization in areas that aid in the identification, capture, delivery, enhancement, R&D marketing, hosting and support of repeatable Tax solutions/accelerators, solution components and services.

  • Demonstrates intimate knowledge of strategic business plans, requirements and processes across industries, including an intimate ability to evaluate technologies and methods for implementing high-level architectural plans. Demonstrates intimate knowledge of planning, designing, testing, developing and evaluating end-to-end integrated systems and recommending action plans, including intimate experience developing, documenting, communicating, and enforcing a technology standards policy.

  • Demonstrates intimate abilities with providing architectural consulting advice and assistance to Systems Analysts, Systems Engineers and other Systems Architects, and documenting and developing in-depth knowledge of existing IT systems architecture and technology portfolio.

  • Demonstrates intimate abilities to develop, document, communicate, and recommend plans for IT systems and/or business architecture investments, including the analysis of cost reduction opportunities.

  • Demonstrates intimate abilities to identify and address client needs which includes the following: developing and sustaining deep client relationships, presenting complex written and verbal materials; and defining resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collection.

  • Demonstrates intimate abilities as a team leader, including leading teams to generate a vision, establish direction and motivate members, create an atmosphere of trust, leverage diverse views, coach staff, and encourage improvement and innovation.

  • Demonstrates success as tax technical business advisor, including developing new relationships, making introductions to sell new services and doing so with a "One Firm" service mindset. Preferred familiarity with a CRM system.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of automation & digitization and leads by example in a professional services environment including, but not limited to, the following areas:- innovating through new and existing technologies, along with experimenting with digitization solutions.- working with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools to provide insights to clients.- utilizing digitization tools to reduce hours and optimize engagements. Advance pricing strategy through the use of pricing tools and influence a shift to alternative fee arrangements.
