PwC Cloud Engineering Associate - Summer/Fall 2022 in Birmingham, Alabama

Preferred Knowledge/Skills :

Demonstrates some abilities and understanding through coursework, experience and/or internships with:

  • Understanding of the various IT infrastructures and application stacks;

  • Understanding DevOps Concepts like IaC, CI/CD, blue-green deployments, etc.;

  • Implementing and following agile methodology;

  • Managing various database engines, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MSSQL;

  • Developing CI/CD pipelines for various application stacks, including LAMP, Java, and Node.js;

  • Working with one or more scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Powershell, Ruby, Python, Node.js, etc);

  • Implementing centralized logging solutions such as SumoLogic and CloudWatch Logs; and,

  • Using Configuration Management and Configuration Orchestration tools, such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, etc.

As an Engineering Associate at PwC, you will attend our seven (7) week cloud onboarding program to equip you with cloud foundational and specialization knowledge, skills, and hands on experience to foster technological fluency and prepare you for success on your cloud engagements. Duties to include the following:

  • Teaming with a diverse set of team members to design, develop and deploy innovative cloud-based solutions;

  • Applying software analysis techniques, procedures, including consulting with users to determine functional specifications;

  • Designing, developing, documenting, analysing, creating, testing or modifying of computer systems or programs, including prototypes, based on and related to user or system design specifications;

  • Designing, documenting, testing, creating or modifying of computer programs ;

  • Using DevOps practices to deliver code in CI/CD environments;

  • Collaborating with teams from diverse backgrounds on solving our clients complex cloud issues;

  • Working with clients to solve problems using cloud technologies;

  • Identifying, qualifying, tracking, and raising technical risks and issues; and,

  • Helping with project case study documentation and response to request for information and proposals.
