A career in our Tax Reporting and Strategy practice, within Innovation services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients’ tax departments redesign, redefine, and redeploy tax to be a strategic asset across the enterprise. You’ll focus on assisting clients incorporate increased automation in the tax reporting process, increase analytic capabilities through data integration, and create solid internal controls that will enable the Tax function to deliver better quality output and contribute more strategically to organisational decision making.
Our team helps our clients expand the tax role to include research, analytics, and technologies to improve how their organisation collaborates and performs. You’ll focus on enhancing the tax reporting process by incorporating increased automation, integrating quality data, developing analytic capabilities, and utilising technology to deliver better quality output in less time.
As a Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above
Be involved in the financial management of clients
Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen
Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges
Assist in the management and delivering of large projects
Train, coach, and supervise staff
Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

Demonstrates extensive knowledge of general tax principles and legislation, including of the application of ASC 740 (FAS 109), tax compliance standards, provision and/or compliance software, and how these relate to the preparation and/or review of multinational corporation tax provisions and/or tax reports. Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or proven success providing management consulting services to multinational clients with large corporate tax functions, including the following areas:
Risk management analysis;
Controls remediation (e.g., application of SOX 404 reporting requirements;
Organization and/or structure re-design;
Technology review and/or implementation; and,
Process improvement and issue remediation.
Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success with leading and directing efforts that involve project management, change management, process improvement, verbal communication and business writing skills in the areas that include, but are not limited to, the following:
Monitoring and analyzing legislative and regulatory tax developments;
Assisting clients in developing strategies in anticipation of tax law changes and regulatory developments;
Analyzing the economic impact of tax legislation and federal budget proposals; and,
Addressing technology needs to support tax function effectiveness.
Demonstrates extensive tax technical skills, aptitude to remain current on legislative and regulatory tax developments, and the ability to apply tax law changes and develop collaboratively strategies that support clients' risk management policies. Demonstrates extensive abilities to communicate with clarity and success value propositions, manage resource requirements, lead client engagement teams, and develop and manage engagement budgets, including all related billing and/or collections. Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or proven success as a team leader who creates an atmosphere of trust and encourages continuous improvement and innovation, as well as thorough aptitude to coach staff and provide constructive written and verbal feedback. Demonstrates willingness and thorough abilities to build, maintain and utilize personal and professional networks to develop client relationships.
