The GCDO is responsible for the governance of PwC’s client, third party and internal data. It delivers a number of different data services to the PwC Network to support the delivery of its vision to become a data driven organisation that applies the same discipline and management control to data that we apply to governing and managing other critical assets such as our cash and our people.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader in the following areas:
Executing on Global Internal Data Strategy to conform Internal data to Enterprise data model;
Developing a set of re-usable , curated data assets for reporting, analytics needs and server Network Strategic agenda;
Managing Internal data on the Firm’s Global Internal data platform;
Delivering value by serving data needs of Global functions such as Global KYC, Global Independence and others;
Working with ER Studio (or equivalent) at an intermediate/advanced level;
Working efficiently with various stakeholders and business units within the firm to understand data for ingestion and integration into a common data model;
Collaborating with Data Architect/Data Modeling team in developing logical, physical data models;
Understanding requirements, data analysis and document source to target data mappings;
Providing direction to a Data Engineering team in building in developing, populating and publishing data into an enterprise data model;
Creating and maintaining relational (third normal form) and dimensional models (star and snowflake schemas);
Assisting end users in understanding the established data models and consuming data for their downstream application and use;
Assisting in data architecture, analysis and quality assurance activities;
Working with the platform team to optimise data mapping and data mastering functions; and,
Demonstrating experience in reverse engineering and defining data models based on profiling of legacy or existing applications.
