A career in our Cloud and Network Architecture practice, within Cloud Computing and Networking services, will provide you with the opportunity to focus on the joint business relationship between PwC and Google, HP, Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, and other cloud based platforms that bring new and innovative services to some of the largest companies. You’ll be at the forefront of helping organisations around the globe adopt innovative technology solutions that optimise business processes or enable scalable technology.

Our team helps organisations transform their network architecture and infrastructure to fundamentally change the role of Information Technology from an custodial asset to an orchestrator of business services. As part of the team, you’ll focus on the architecture of data centres, including the design and implementation of network architecture and information storage to optimise innovation and programme delivery for our clients.

Some of the technologies you'll be working with include:

  • Big Data Platforms (Amazon EMR, Data Lakes)

  • Cloud Data Warehouses (Amazon Redshift, Snowflake)

  • Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (Amazon Sagemaker, Azure ML Studio)

  • Streaming Data (Amazon Kinesis, Apache Kafka, Dynamo, APIs)

  • Data Pipelines (AWS Glue, Serverless, Lambda, Step Functions, dbt, Airflow)

  • Languages: SQL / Python / Scala

Preferred skills

  • Using appropriate cloud services to design and deploy architecture and applications based on given customer and/or Solutions Architect’s requirements;

  • Implementing enterprise-wide scalable and high-availability operations in a cloud environment;

  • Applying DevOps concepts including IAC using Terraform or CloudFormation, configuration management using Chef, and Ansible, CI/CD using Jenkins, CodeDeploy, etc;

  • Making informed decisions about customers’ infrastructure and understanding the impact of design decisions;

  • Understanding compliant environments including PCI, HIPAA, etc;

  • Understanding core cloud security and auditing capabilities;

  • Understanding cloud security controls, network boundary controls, and related toolsets;

  • Understanding of the various IT infrastructures and application stacks;

  • Working on multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to project timelines;

  • Understanding DevOps Concepts like IaC, CI/CD, blue-green deployments, etc; and,

  • Implementing agile methodology

  • Work under the guidance of lead engineering staff to implement and test software solutions in a cloud environment;

  • Perform migrations to a cloud environment leveraging tools like CloudEndure and AWS Database Migration Service;

  • Write development, technical, or user documentation related to implemented software functionality;

  • Build and deploy cloud infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation and develop scripts for future reuse;

  • Leverage tools like Terraform and Jenkins to incrementally automate, modernize, and improve customers’ environments;

  • 5-6 years
