Our Industry Tax Practice is organized around industries to share the latest research and points of view on emerging industry trends, develop industry-specific performance benchmarks, and share methodologies and approaches in complex areas such as compliance and tax risk management. The Industry Tax Practice (ITP) provides a distinctive combination of tax consulting, planning, compliance and accounting services to companies within the industries we serve.
Some recent special projects included accounting method studies, restructuring and refinancing, IRS controversy resolution, effective tax rate planning and state tax rate planning. Our Industry Tax Practice is a mix of approximately 70% consulting and 30% compliance and our team members work very closely with other PwC practices within the office.
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 1
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting provided all of the minimum requirements are met for CPA licensure per respective state regulations
Certification(s) Required: CPA
or commitment to pass CPA exam before being promoted to Manager and thereafter obtain CPA licensure, Enrolled Agent or Member of the Bar
Working knowledge of the tax issues facing multinational US companies or publically traded entities.
Some technical skills in FAS 109 and FIN 48. Proven skills in the area of tax compliance and provision preparation. Working experience identifying and addressing client needs: building solid relationships with clients; developing an awareness of Firm services; communicating with the client in an organized and knowledgeable manner; delivering clear requests for information; demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks; and communicating potential conflicts to a supervisor. Working experience as a team member: understanding personal and team roles; contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback; providing guidance, clarification and feedback to less-experienced staff.
