A career in our Master Limited Partnerships practice, within Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet and manage their tax obligations across unique but ever changing tax specialties. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions.

Our team helps our clients with gaining access to capital markets and cash liquidity and enhancing the process for taking their Master Limited Partnerships public. You’ll be helping our clients with Master Limited Partnerships related financial reporting, capital market analysis, internal controls, taxation and advisory services.

Demonstrates some abilities and/or a proven record of success in tax concepts related to Partnerships, Up-C and UPREIT structures.

Demonstrates some abilities and/or a proven record of success to request, interpret, prepare, input, and process, various tax calculations including fixed asset information and general book tax differences.

Demonstrates some abilities and/or a proven record of success to review/reconcile the outcome of various tax calculations from the information in the Firm's proprietary tax allocation systems.

Demonstrates some abilities and/or a proven record of success in identifying and addressing client needs by:

  • Building solid relationships with clients;

  • Developing an awareness of Firm services;

  • Communicating with the client in an organized and knowledgeable manner;

  • Delivering clear requests for information;

  • Demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks; and,

  • Communicating potential conflicts to a supervisor.

Possesses working experience as a team member by:

  • Understanding personal and team roles;

  • Contributing to a positive working environment by building relationships with team members;

  • Proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback; and,

  • Providing guidance, clarification and feedback to less-experienced staff.

Proficient technical skills, including tax compliance, preparation and review of Forms 1065 and K-1, complex spreadsheets / macros including working knowledge of Alteryx tools and Tableau, PowerBI and other visualization applications, the application of tax code and regulations and technical writing skills.

As a tax technical professional, experience researching business and industry trends to develop a point of view to leverage in assisting with proposals.

Exposure with automation & digitization in a professional services environment including but not limited to:

  • Innovating through new and existing technologies, along with experimenting with digitization solutions; and,

  • Working with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools.
