A career in Sales and Marketing, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to focus on positioning a distinctive PwC brand in the marketplace and drive long term revenue growth for the Firm. You’ll focus on designing, developing, and implementing communication programmes and media events to promote and sell the PwC’s brand and services as well as contribute to and evaluating our pricing strategies in the marketplace.

Our Business Development team supports PwC and its clients by developing sales strategies, executing tactics, and securing the resources required to close sales opportunities. As part of the team, you’ll be managing sales pursuits and the sales pipeline, helping the account team in identifying, qualifying and closing sales leads, and coordinating the utilisation of all account management methodology and business development tools.

Focus for the Alliance Sales Leader is to drive sales and profitable growth of the Alliance sales organization by way of a differentiated leadership skill set, thought-leading knowledge on sales strategy, management, and practices to lead teams and operational processes (e.g., incentive comp models, deals review, attract /train talent, best practice sharing, etc.) of the ACRE program and driving consistency in our sales motions across the portfolio.

Demonstrates thought leader-level knowledge with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts, preferably in a professional services firm, in the following areas:

  • Understanding of direct Alliance, technology consulting services profession and how professional services sales efforts integrate and operate in a high performing consulting environment;

  • Leading a high performing sales team, driving collaboration and being a strategic business partner with Sales Leadership and Alliance Practice Leadership, with emphasis on leading business development strategies, driving execution, and influencing others;

  • Building and maintaining relationships with the highest levels of leadership, with proven ability to communicate, including effectively managing through a matrix organization to drive sales results;

  • Showcasing extensive experience with channel sales;

  • Identifying specific client business issues, including understanding of relevant companies’ strategies, buying habits, executives, and competitors;

  • Understanding the different competitive positioning strategies and knowing how to apply each to influence brand positioning, including the analyzing of current business position, and compiling, forecasting, and articulating business financials;

  • Understanding demand generation and the sales process, especially influencing buying decisions through marketing activities and strategic messaging in proposals;

  • Understanding of a sales methodology while promoting the proper usage and adoption of both CRM tools and services, as well as embracing and demonstrating leadership of other nationally-developed tools and services which improves Alliance productivity and impact;

  • Fostering a business development culture whereby leaders and staff in the firm embed winning practices into their ongoing relationship management and business development approaches;

  • Driving focus on client interaction, alliance sourced wins and working with Alliance teams to develop their pursuit plans and in building long-term recurring and phased revenue streams;

  • Leveraging technology in sales efforts and across teams;

  • Executing on collaboration and sharing of successful pitches, approaches, winning documents, lessons learned to scale and leverage repeatedly; and,

  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, leveraging a complex, matrixed organizational structure and establishing priorities serving a diverse stakeholder group.
