You’ll focus on managing the design and implementation of technology infrastructure within PwC, developing and enhancing both client and internal facing applications within PwC, and providing technology tools that help create a competitive advantage for the Firm to drive strategic business growth.

Our System Architecture team helps build customisable specific system solutions that enhance PwC’s system capabilities to appropriately serve all client needs. As part of the team, you’ll use enterprise architecture across application areas to build delivery models that map PwC capabilities to business needs outlined by clients.

The Global Desktop team sits within PwC Technology and is responsible for strategy, design, build and technical direction of the standard Windows desktop and MAC environments across the global PwC network. The candidate must be a technical specialist in Windows and associated technologies such as Active Directory and SCCM/Workspace ONE. The team is currently based in London, but are looking to hire in the US and globally.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader in making IT design recommendations including the following areas:

  • Having experience in creating Windows 10 customizations and images;

  • Writing and using windows PowerShell scripting to automate tasks;

  • Leveraging experience in administration of devices using VMWare Workspace ONE (desirable);

  • Leading Delivery and Management of Group Policies in Active Directory;

  • Working in a team where their role has been to inspire others to deliver great solutions;

  • Coaching and giving technical direction to others;

  • Creating clear written documents;

  • Managing and organizing your time without having to be micromanaged;

  • Exhibiting a proven track record of resolving problems and designing/analyzing technical solutions;

  • Designing solutions to technical problems and adding business value, rather than just administrating technology;

  • Understanding architectural design and application delivery;

  • Understanding robust analytical thinking skills with the ability to identify, debug and resolve technical issues;

  • Building trusting and influential relationships and engaging with vendors and third parties as appropriate;

  • Collaborating with other Architects to provide technical design guidance to align with strategy and technical standards;

  • Working independently to evaluate and make strategic decisions that will address specific technology design needs;

  • Participating in the development of thought leadership to influence their sphere of technology in the use of innovation to advance business capabilities;

  • Researching and evaluating emerging technologies and novel approaches to make recommendations to enhance business processes and/or create a competitive advantage;

  • Participating in application solutions including assisting with planning and architectural design, development, resolution of technical issues and application rationalization;

  • Innovating around new application ideas to deploy to all staff;

  • Keeping up to date with industry trends to recommend 3rd party applications for PwC employee to leverage;

  • Working closely with communication team to advertise and socialize the benefit of new technologies;

  • Working with Senior Leadership steering group to get applications approved for deployment; Displaying initiative and an ability to lead others;

  • Learning rapidly and continuously taking advantage of new technologies, concepts and business models;

  • Demonstrating a history of staying current in emerging technology trends;

  • Designing and architect complex solutions that provide optimal business value;

  • Working collaboratively to provide design guidance for specific projects that adheres to applicable application technology roadmaps and standards;

  • Understanding and mitigating the impact of technical design to security, performance and data privacy;

  • Communicating effectively at different levels within and outside the organization, leadership/management, business stakeholders, and vendors; and,

  • Providing thought leadership on application rationalization opportunities.
