Our Information Technology Project Management team collaborates with PwC practice leaders to develop and deliver technology solutions. We provide project management oversight and collaborate with various project resources and vendors to ensure the appropriate methodology is followed, deliverable quality is high, and satisfaction is achieved. Simply put, you’ll solve business problems using technology, work with multiple teams concurrently, and be able to take pride in end to end ownership of a project.

he Global People Technology (GPT) Workday Project Manager Lead (“GPT Workday PM Lead”) - a Senior Manager role - leads and manages a team of Workday Project Managers/Coordinators and provides project management oversight across the Global Workday portfolio of projects.

Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader overseeing the delivery of technology solutions, including:

  • Technology solution delivery for large projects/programs, specifically for Workday and/or related SaaS based solutions;

  • Managing the entire lifecycle of technology projects with responsibility for the successful leadership and oversight of initiation, planning, design, execution/implementation, monitoring, controlling and completion of the project;

  • Directing and providing oversight in support of shared service teams consisting of PM, Business Analysts, Solution Architects and other personnel to deliver multiple complex, concurrent projects and associated deliverables;

  • Acting as a centralized escalation point for program/project risks, issues & challenges for streamlined resolution;

  • Working collaboratively in a dynamic, ambiguous environment with multiple competing priorities which requires self-motivation, discipline, organization, and a high attention to detail;

  • Collaborating with others to discover creative solutions to complex problems, which may require unique approaches, while maintaining standards and minimizing risk to the firm;

  • Possessing effective written, oral and listening skills with the ability to understand and act upon leadership guidance in work product and deliverables; having the ability to influence sponsors and stakeholders;

  • Managing, training, supervising, and coaching a team of Project Managers, including individuals who are new to the global Technology/IT PM role;

  • Leading and contributing to discovery activities to help identify, research and scope opportunities on new/existing customers and projects;

  • Working in a PMO environment (both in formal and less structured such PMO settings), ensuring all project work is delivered in accordance with operational standards;

  • Management of vendor/supplier resources (onshore and offshore) including obligations established in Service Level Agreements and risk management/escalation;

  • Communicating with presence and influence in both formal and informal settings, preparing and presenting persuasive written and verbal materials to executive-level leadership and/or large audiences;

  • Influencing project team members to identify and address project issues, including leadership and interdependent teams, and to promote self-directed teams by enabling open, transparent and clear communications;

  • Developing a trusted advisor relationship with customer executive sponsors, and internal stakeholders so all activities are closely aligned with the customer's business case and business strategy;

  • Navigating complex problems and stakeholders, evaluating and prioritizing needs and creating actionable recommendations;

  • Managing all SOW deliverables and reporting project costs and forecasts on a regularly scheduled basis to project leadership and making recommendations to improve project effectiveness;

  • Implementing ownership, accountability, and follow-through, with focus on delivery and outcomes;

  • Performing quality review of key project deliverables to ensure adherence to standards and best practices and to ensure that project deliverables meet stakeholder expectations;

  • Financial Management to monitor headcount, project costs, pillar budget to actuals and related variances; and,

  • Liaising with, contributing to, and actively participating in various PPM/PMO-related communities and other PwC groups to understand and help drive compliance with respect to PPM/PMO-related methodologies, standards and best practices.
