Job Description

The Financial Services industry is highly regulated by federal and state regulators within the sectors.

Due to the highly regulated nature of the industry, our clients often require consulting services to help them respond to regulatory requirements and expectations, including those arising from examinations and enforcement actions. Under Firm policy, all potential Regulatory Consulting engagements (including those where PwC is asked to be an Independent Consultant) for financial services clients (and clients in other industries) require RCC consultation.

In this regard, the Firm has established the Regulatory Consulting Center (RCC) to help our professionals assess opportunities and navigate the risks associated with performing Independent Consultant and Regulatory Consulting engagements.

Our Public Sector Risk Consulting team focuses on providing industry-leading Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) services to the Federal government. The team engages with senior leaders to identify and implement the full spectrum of ERM capabilities necessary to generate real value for decision makers in pursuit of their strategic objectives. The team also provide targeted services in the areas of Risk Strategy, Risk Assessment, Risk Technology, and Risk Governance.

Position/Program Requirements

Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 6

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree

Degree Preferred: MBA

Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Designing sustainable ERM processes and structures, including the governance and oversight, standards and processes. tools and technology,

metrics and reporting; and cultural and organizational change management;

  • Conduct and facilitate risk assessments and risk prioritization sessions with executive-level clients;

  • Assist with the development of an organization's risk appetite and acceptable variations in performance in alignment with the organization's strategy and performance objectives;

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of one or more international standards for ERM (e.g., COSO, ISO, etc.); and,

  • Demonstrate a specialist level ability to write, deliver, and lead others in the development and delivery of proposals to clients.

Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Effectively lead and participate in client discussions and meetings;

  • Communicate a broad range of PwC’s service offerings;

  • Produce high-quality and client-ready deliverables including spreadsheets, presentations, reports, and other documents;

  • Facilitate effective client meetings, workshops, and lead ERM client training;

  • Manage engagements including preparing concise, accurate documents and balancing project economics management with the flexibility to respond to client needs;

  • Keep leadership informed of progress, risks, and issues;

  • Effectively lead small teams and provide mentorship to team members; and,

  • Lead internal initiatives including business development, thought leadership, and other firm support-related tasks.
