Our Information Technology Development team helps develop and supports internal information technology systems and applications for use by all staff levels. You’ll help our team develop programmes and applications that cater to PwC’s strategic technology needs using your knowledge of technical domains of application.

As a Product Owner, you will work closely with a team of multi-disciplined problem solvers, manage the product through its life cycle, and will be accountable for the product teams to plan, sequence, and decompose work, aligning sprint outcomes to requirements, and escalating as needed.

Within PwC Technology’s CTO pillar, the senior Product Owner will own or lead the evolution of one or multiple products to meet our internal customer and stakeholder needs.

Key success factors for this role include the ability to independently work with and manage expectations of stakeholders, sequence work items and dependencies to deliver incremental value in collaboration with the product teams, validate whether user stories reflect requirements, and provide quality assurance over delivery activities to assess definition of done against acceptance criteria. The applicant should have 6+ years of product management or product development experience, with a proven track record of delivering products with a customer-first mindset, emphasizing the following areas:

  • Applying in-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology;

  • Translating product features into well-defined user stories and acceptance test criteria;

  • Owning, prioritizing, and maintaining the product backlog for assigned products;

  • Drafting and iterating user stories in the product backlog with the scrum team;

  • Managing epics, features, and user stories to be completed by delivery teams aligned to the product’s vision;

  • Collaborating with the Product Management team on roadmap prioritization;

  • Coordinating with the Scrum Master and Tech Lead on priorities, approach, and delivery, while driving alignment with delivery teams;

  • Aligning deliverables to business requirements and acceptance criteria;

  • Applying knowledge of user-centered design principles and a customer-first mindset;

  • Applying user experience (UX) design and product design to meet customer expectations;

  • Applying knowledge of cloud infrastructure, microservices architecture, application programming interfaces (APIs), and enterprise cloud provider capabilities (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP);

  • Engaging in thoughtful, articulate, and persuasive verbal and written communication; and,

  • Applying analytics and reporting tools to articulate metrics, insights, and opportunities.
