A career in our Actuarial Life Services practice, within Actuarial Services, will provide you with the opportunity to contribute general insurance advice and consulting services to clients such as insurers, banks, regulators, and third party administrators. You’ll provide advice covering solvency, economic capital, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, company restructuring and risk control, financial modelling, underwriting, new legislation, and the efficiency of claims or reporting processes. Simply put, you might help analyse the impact that new regulation will have on an insurance company’s balance sheet or you could be revising businesses’ projections and making sure they have adequate reserves.
Our team helps insurers address new financial reporting requirements by assessing the financial and business impacts of regulations, building implementation plans, and implementing relevant requirements, particularly across areas of financial reporting change.

Required Knowledge and Skills :
Demonstrates proven understanding of climate change risks, including knowledge of both physical and transition risks.
Demonstrates proven interest in climate change risk analysis and risk management, as well as interest in broader ESG topics.
Demonstrates thorough abilities in two or more of the following:
Possessing significant experience in modeling (climate or financial modeling, optimization) or machine learning;
Demonstrating interest in roles involving natural catastrophe modeling and/or climate modeling;
Possessing proven analytical, data science, programming (Python), or geographic information systems skills and experience; and/or,
Possessing knowledge of and experience with the CMIP5 / CMIP6 models.
Demonstrates proven ability to lead a team on the development of a scalable solution, and possesses experience in business development, pipeline management, and/or client delivery.

Possesses experience leading new business pursuits from start to finish.
Possesses experience managing multiple projects and leading multiple teams.
