Job Description

The Innovation practice is a national group comprised of a variety of teams that focus on implementing solutions internally and externally that will impact the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our clients' tax functions. Process improvement, transformation, system implementation, effective use of technology and data & analytics, and leveraging alternative delivery solutions are key areas of focus to drive additional value to our clients. PricewaterhouseCoopers is nationally recognized for its in-depth tax technical knowledge and tax process improvement skill sets. The Tax Reporting and Strategy (TR&S) practice is dedicated to helping companies assess the complexities of delivering value and managing risk in their tax functions through the improvement of people, process, data and technology. Team members serve as business advisors to clients by leveraging a standard methodology to deliver sustainable tax performance improvement and tax accounting services. Our Tax Reporting and Strategy team features multi-disciplined staff including: accountants, attorneys, economists and technologists from a variety of backgrounds, including corporate tax professionals, tax professionals from law firms, technology professionals and tax advisors from the Firm's practice offices.

Team members get exposure to a variety of areas including tax department operational performance improvement, SharePoint and document management, tax technology strategy, tax data management and analytics, tax accounting and vendor implementation, and strategy related to people and organizational structure.

The Content Management Team within the Tax Process Office (TPO) is an internal group within PwC, dedicated to managing the learning, communications and gateway content for available technology solutions used by the tax practice.

Position/Program Requirements

Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 5

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree

Certification(s) Required: At least one of the following: CPA, EA, Admission to the Bar, Professional Certification in Project Management (PMP), Six Sigma Black Belt/Lean Black Belt/Master Black Belt, Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP), SAP Certified Professional, Oracle Certified Professional, PhD in Computer Science/Information Science or STEM equivalent, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), Certified Software Tester (CSTE), UX Certificate

  • Nielson Norman Group, Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) or equivalent institutional Data Science program, Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

Degree Preferred: Business Studies, Information Technology, Information Technology & Accounting, Management Information Systems

Certification(s) Preferred: Six Sigma Green Belt, Six Sigma Black Belt, or PMP

Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success of professional services selling services, as well as building and sustaining long term relationships with clients, to drive revenue, as this role will be the client site representative for the Solution Center. Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success in a sales role for a professional services organization, including managing pursuit activities, as well as developing and or executing the sales process, such as qualification, scoping, proposal development, solution demonstrations and close activities. Demonstrates extensive knowledge of developing strategic business plans, requirements and processes across industries, specifically, a combined technology and business background, including methodology and solutions expertise, project management and process improvement expertise. Demonstrates extensive knowledge of the management of technical and business teams evaluating technologies and methods in order to lead design workshops used to gather requirements, conduct work flow analyses, outline business rules, and produce functional specifications and requirements definitions.

Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates extensive ability to develop and manage client relationships, including the extensive abilities to identify client issues and priorities, and provide solutions based upon the services of the firm. Demonstrates extensive ability to identify and address client needs, which includes developing and sustaining meaningful client relationships using networking, negotiation and persuasion skills to identify and sell potential new service opportunities; preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials; and, defining resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collection. Demonstrates extensive abilities with developing, documenting, communicating, and recommending plans for investing in systems and/or business architectures, including analyses of cost reduction opportunities and the development, documentation, communication, and enforcement of a technology standards policy.

This role reports directly to the national leaders of self-service business intelligence tool (such Tableau,

Alteryx, Bots and Natural Language Processing). Responsibilities include helping the Executive Leadership

Team develop the infrastructure and strategies for new technology, including helping leaders determine how

to share technology over server. This role works closely with the D&A leaders to inspire, drive and manage

the Ninja network and create innovative training for our national conferences. The innovation component of

this role involves curating, prioritizing, accelerating, and nationalizing new self-service business intelligence

ideas. Additionally, this role will have freedom to research and introduce new technologies to the practice.

This role will work with our Business Intelligence Vendors and attend their National Conferences (Tableau,

Alteryx, Microsoft, etc.).
