PwC Governance Insights Center - Senior Manager - New York in New York, New York

A career within Assurance Support services, will provide the opportunity to support our engagement teams and clients by providing advice and counsel on accounting, financial reporting, and strategic business issues. In joining, you’ll help ensure a complete and relevant exchange of information among our consultants and in turn with engagement teams and clients, provide experts advice on a variety of specific topics, support engagement teams in resolving complex issues, and supporting clients and their subsidiaries in evaluating the potential impact of accounting and reporting standard setting initiatives. You’ll develop strong relationships with our engagement teams and established audit clients and enhance our ability to meet greater investor expectations with the challenges of an increasingly complex business environment.

Demonstrates intimate knowledge and/or a proven record of success in corporate governance.

Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success in research skills and writing ability in order to support the advice and counsel provided by the Governance Insights Center (GIC) on strategic business issues pertaining to Boards of Directors and Audit Committees, including the following activities:

  • Conducting both short- and long-term research projects on various corporate governance issues with the goal of publishing thought leadership on the topic;

  • Writing timely thought leadership “points of view” or reactions to current governance related news topics;

  • Managing the thought leadership publication process including coordinating directly with other authors, collaborators, marketing, graphics designers, national office review, all with a focus on Quality;

  • Monitoring closely and distributing relevant news in the area of corporate governance in order to inform the GIC team AND to provide suggestions to the GIC team on how GIC might respond to or highlight the matter using real-time GIC thought leadership publications;

  • Following regulatory rule making activities and assessing the impact of these rules for Boards of Directors and related communities in order to inform the GIC team AND to provide suggestions to the GIC team on how GIC might respond or highlight the matter suing real-time GIC thought leadership publications; and,

  • Participating in internal and external educational forums targeted to communities of Boards of Directors, including those held by prominent business organizations, and debriefing GIC teams on key messages AND to provide suggestions to the GIC team on potential thought leadership publications.

  • Demonstrates intimate abilities and / or a proven record of success in project management skills and research, ability to analyze news communications to identify important concepts and ability to review other thought leadership to understand the concepts and determine if there are relevant areas that might be of interest to the GIC audience.
