PwC Manager, Geopolitical Investing practice in New York, New York

A career in our Assurance Support Operations practice, within Assurance Support services, will provide the opportunity to support our engagement teams and clients by providing advice and counsel on accounting, financial reporting, and strategic business issues. In joining, you’ll help ensure a complete and relevant exchange of information among our consultants and in turn with engagement teams and clients, provide experts advice on a variety of specific topics, support engagement teams in resolving complex issues, and supporting clients and their subsidiaries in evaluating the potential impact of accounting and reporting standard setting initiatives. You’ll develop strong relationships with our engagement teams and established audit clients and enhance our ability to meet greater investor expectations with the challenges of an increasingly complex business environment.

Our team focuses on helping the Human Resources team with recruitment and deployment, technical communications, policy and procedure development, and monitoring. You’ll be able to enhance PwC’s ability to meet greater investor expectations with the challenges of an increasingly complex business environment, and our objective of achieving sustained audit quality over the long term.

Responsibilities

As a Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above

  • Be involved in the financial management of clients

  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients

  • Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen

  • Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges

  • Assist in the management and delivering of large projects

  • Train, coach, and supervise staff

  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues

  • Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in supporting the activities including compiling global macroeconomic, geopolitical, and sector-specific research as well as preparing client-facing materials.

Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success in specific regions including East Asia, China, Emerging Asia, Latin America, Middle East in specific sectors such as real estate, private equity and sovereign wealth funds, consumer markets, technology, media, telecommunications.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in conducting independent research, extensive analytical capabilities, and ability to translate research into specific solutions and scenarios for companies and/or investors including: Dynamics underpinning the global macroeconomic environment, with a focus on specific geographies of the US and North America, Latin America, UK and Western Europe, Middle East, and Asia; the history, sociology, and politics of these geographies; and, deep sector research in one or more of the following: real estate and infrastructure; private equity and sovereign investment funds; consumer retail; TMT (technology media telecoms); ESG and renewable energy.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in utilizing firmwide software to analyze reports and draft summary reports such as Microsoft Office, Google drive; tableau and other firm issued tools.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in writing, communicating, facilitating and presenting to all levels of industry audiences, clients and internal staff.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or proven record of success as a team leader by: liaising with key account teams across regions and countries and supervising staff.
