A career in Office of General Counsel, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to be a part of the Firm’s legal department by providing dedicated legal support in the areas of litigation, counselling, and corporate, commercial, and employment law. You’ll play an important part in all aspects of regulatory proceedings involving the Firm and its personnel by supporting on regulatory issues, advising the Firm on matters relating to its operations, supporting the Firm’s client contracting function, and advising on matters related to employees.
As part of our team, you’ll help with researching background information related to legal issues and prepare legal documents. You’ll focus on drafting contracts or legal agreements, retaining files of prepared legal documents, and coordinating requests between internal and external counsel.
As a Senior Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Directors and above
Be involved in the financial management of clients
Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
Develop project strategies to solve complex technical challenges for our clients
Manage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team
Shape and deliver projects to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients and our own quality criteria
Train, coach, and supervise team members
Continue to develop internal relationships and developing your PwC brand
The Technology Transactions team is part of the firm's Contracting group focusing on counseling, negotiating and redlining technology procurement (inbound licensing) and market facing (outbound licensing) technology agreements. Applicants should have familiarity with advising on, negotiating and redlining transactional matters involving software and other technology, including the development, licensing, acquisition, and sale of IP and other technology and other commercial agreements.

4 year(s) with at least 3 years of prior experience advising on commercial agreements involving software and other technology, as part of an IP transactional or technology transactions practice at a law firm or in an in-house environment. Prior professional experience required; the extent, nature and duration of the experience depends upon the role involved.
Certification(s) Required :
Member of Bar in State in which position is located.

Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success managing efforts with identifying and addressing client needs including the following areas:

Identifying and analyzing complex legal/regulatory/business issues and providing appropriate legal advice regarding applicable legal and professional standards, often on a time-sensitive basis;
Demonstrating negotiation skills with respect to legal issues;
Managing multiple cases/matters/projects and/or teams of internal and/or external resources; and,
Building consensus, even for difficult or unpopular courses of action necessitated by legal or regulatory requirements.
