A career in Risk Management, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to advance and foster integrity based decision making and conduct by PwC professionals throughout our organisation. You’ll focus on promoting and monitoring compliance with applicable external laws and regulations as well as internal policies and procedures to help manage PwC’s regulatory, litigation, and reputational risk.

Our Regulatory team develops and implements regulatory strategies that serve PwC’s business needs, while complying with regulatory restrictions. As part of the team, you’ll help develop business continuity plans surrounding environmental risk, crisis management, process systems, operations and technology risk.

The One Firm Risk Organization (OFRO) Policy Team is responsible for the development and maintenance of the U.S. Firm’s Independence and Risk Management policies and all related content. The team is comprised of subject matter specialists in independence and risk management and works closely with Global and other U.S. Firm organizations to integrate the policies throughout firm tools, templates, and other resources.

Demonstrates thorough knowledge and/or a proven record of success in analyzing and applying regulations, professional standards, and/or risk appetite, including the following:

  • Demonstrating experience in regulatory and/or legal compliance roles;

  • Understanding of the services that PwC provides to clients xLoS;

  • Recognizing a project related problem and provide potential solutions;

  • Understanding roles and responsibilities of and coordination with other internal firm groups/organizations (e.g. Ethics & Compliance, National Quality Organization); and,

  • Analyzing complex information and distilling it into succinct, easy to comprehend statements.

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Monitoring regulatory activity or similar technical/legal content through internet-based research as well as research of internal firm sources (web pages, content repositories, etc.);

  • Developing and applying technical writing skills;

  • Developing succinct and technically accurate accounts of those activities for communication to firm stakeholders;

  • Researching emerging risk issues;

  • Demonstrating critical thinking and report on complex technical topics and unique fact patterns;

  • Distilling complex policies into easy to understand, effective practice aids and firm communications;

  • Generating ideas to implement new technology and data;

  • Assisting with the writing and development of technical write-ups and follow-up presentations;

  • Assisting with the oversight and maintenance of databases and various technology tools;

  • Utilizing the Google, Adobe, and Microsoft Office suite of applications to streamline and enhance the production of content;

  • Communicating sophisticated thoughts in a succinct, articulate manner verbally and in writing to peers and more senior stakeholders; and,

  • Assessing the potential business implications of policy, standards, and regulations on firm engagement teams.
