PwC Regional Tax Marketing Director in New York, New York

A career in Sales and Marketing, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to focus on positioning a distinctive PwC brand in the marketplace and driving long term revenue growth. Our Sales and Marketing Generalist - Practice Support team focuses on designing, developing, and implementing communication programmes and media events to promote and sell PwC’s brand and services as well as contribute to and evaluate our pricing strategies in the marketplace.

Responsibilities

As a Director, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively lead the practise by setting strategy, drive the development of new business in the market, and provide technical advice across disciplines

  • Building strong networks within the firm to spot and capitalise on opportunities to get involved in projects that others are leading across a number of different business units and sectors

  • Identifying and discussing key issues with our clients to identify potential opportunities

  • Responsibility for a majority of day to day client communications

  • Responsibility to shape and deliver various projects that exceed the expectations of our clients and our own assignment quality criteria

  • Manage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team

  • Responsibility for management of engagement financials

  • Helping to grow and develop our team through hands on training and coaching

Preferred Knowledge/Skills :

Demonstrated thought-leader level experience in developing strategies and programs that drive business objectives and provide the overall direction for marketing activities. Demonstrated knowledge of trends and best practices and applies new thinking and innovation to marketing programs. Demonstrated thought-leader level understanding of competitive positioning leveraged to develop messaging, marketing strategies, and proposals. Demonstrated intimate level knowledge of the targeting process to help practice build a pipeline of new opportunities including sales/marketing collateral and responses to RFPs and RFIs. Demonstrated knowledge of current services and solutions, as well as awareness of changes in the business environment and how these changes affect both current and new market opportunities. In-depth understanding of key business issues our clients are facing and aligns our go-to-market strategy and point-of-view(s) around those issues.

Ability to drive consistent and relevant idea flow to the markets/accounts and effectively facilitate client touch points. Practical experience in supporting the sales process and using customer relationship management skills and technology. Ability to understand and capture trends on win/losses in order to position Firm with clients and during the proposal process. Proven ability to leverage writing and verbal communication skills in order to translate complex concepts into easy to understand and compelling messaging. Proven ability to manage marketing budget, across all programs. Demonstrated ability to measure and track results of marketing programs and report on Return On Investment ROI. Extensive experience to discuss and explain current and emerging solutions and services, as well as promote new ideas and broadly throughout assigned line of service through road shows, solution roll-out calls, etc. Demonstrated ability to be responsible for strategy and execution of complex marketing programs in one or more business areas. Demonstrated success building and maintaining relationships with highest levels of our firm leadership and global marketers. Proven ability to lead the development of marketing tactics across a wide variety of functional areas of marketing. Ability to manage on-going marketing strategy and drive change by collaborating with other marketing and sales professionals. Ability to lead a marketing team, including coaching and development and overseeing responsibilities of team members. Prior business development and sales experience. Experience with social channels and digital media.
