PricewaterhouseCoopers is nationally recognized for its in-depth tax technical knowledge and tax process improvement skill sets. The Tax Reporting and Strategy (TR&S) practice is dedicated to helping companies assess the complexities of delivering value and managing risk in their tax functions through the improvement of people, process, data and technology. Team members serve as business advisors to clients by leveraging a standard methodology to deliver sustainable tax performance improvement and tax accounting services. Our Tax Reporting and Strategy team features multi-disciplined staff including: accountants, attorneys, economists and technologists from a variety of backgrounds, including corporate tax professionals, tax professionals from law firms, technology professionals and tax advisors from the Firm's practice offices.

The Deals group within Tax Reporting and Strategy (TRS) is comprised of subject matter specialists that provide planning and implementation consulting during every stage of the M and A lifecycle between the signing of the deal through full integration or separation. Projects include consulting on acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs, IPOs and legal entity strategy and simplification. Our practitioners focus on a wide array of services, including:
Day 1 readiness;
Post-close integration from a people, process data and technology perspective;
Global transaction implementation and legal entity operationalization;
Separation planning and readiness;
Legal entity strategy, simplification and commercial readiness;
Organization design and change management;
Transition services agreement design and exit planning;
Acquisition and carved-out financials;
Synergy capture planning; and,
Functional technology and data management solutions.
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 5
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree
Certification(s) Required: At least one of the following: CPA, EA, Admission to the Bar, Professional Certification in Project Management (PMP), Six Sigma Black Belt/Lean Black Belt/Master Black Belt, Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP), SAP Certified Professional, Oracle Certified Professional, PhD in Computer Science/Information Science or STEM equivalent, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), Certified Software Tester (CSTE), UX Certificate
- Nielson Norman Group, Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) or equivalent institutional Data Science program, Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
Degree Preferred: Business Studies, Information Technology, Information Technology & Accounting, Management Information Systems
Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas: -Tax issues facing multinational U.S. companies or publicly traded companies, especially in the areas of Subchapter C, ASC 740 and ASC 740-10;
M&A practices, including corporate M&A, private equity, post deal integration, bankruptcy and corporate insolvency; and,
Tax organizational design, process improvement, controls, risk management, tax strategy and implementation of software products.
Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:
The application and interpretation of U.S. federal income tax law as it relates to Subchapter C corporations, Subchapter S corporations, partnerships, consolidated groups, corporate bankruptcies and insolvencies and legal entity reorganizations;
ASC 740 and ASC 740-10 provision preparation and review and corporate tax compliance preparation, review and planning;
Tax technology implementations, including selection of software packages, assessments of processes and data flows, tax systems implementation and configuration and digital tax transformation;
Tax-related data analytics;
Implementation of ERP Systems (such as SAP and Oracle) and tax-related applications such as OneSource,Corptax, Hyperion Tax Provision, Longview Tax, etc. Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:
Identify and address client needs: developing and sustaining deep client relationships using networking, negotiation and persuasion skills to identify and sell potential new service opportunities; preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials; and defining resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collection;
Lead teams to generate a vision, establish direction and motivate members, create an atmosphere of trust, leverage diverse views, coach staff and encourage improvement and innovation; and,
Utilize effective written and verbal business communication skills within a professional business services environment, including interacting with clients and firm staff and/or management.
