Our Information Technology Development team helps develop and supports internal information technology systems and applications for use by all staff levels. You’ll help our team develop programmes and applications that cater to PwC’s strategic technology needs using your knowledge of technical domains of application.

As a Product Owner, you will work closely with a team of multi-disciplined problem solvers, manage the product through its life cycle, and will be accountable for the product teams to plan, sequence, and decompose work, aligning sprint outcomes to requirements, and escalating as needed.

Within PwC Technology’s CTO pillar, the Product Owner will own or lead the evolution of one or multiple products to meet our internal customer and stakeholder needs.
The applicant should have 4+ years of experience in product management and/or product delivery as a product owner for a customer portal or similar technology product. Experience in cloud infrastructure or cloud services is preferred, as the customer portal will provide our internal customers access to cloud services. Technical expertise in the areas of user experience (UX), scaled agile delivery, microservices architecture, and APIs is recommended for this role.
Key success factors for this role include the ability to independently work with and manage expectations of stakeholders, plan/sequence work items and dependencies to deliver incremental value in collaboration with the product, architecture, and engineering teams, validate whether user stories reflect requirements, and provide quality assurance over delivery activities to assess release readiness and definition of done/acceptance criteria. The candidate should have a proven track record of delivering products with a customer-first mindset and launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams via agile development.
As such, the candidate should demonstrate extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:
Applying in-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology;
Translating product features into well-defined user stories and acceptance test criteria;
Owning, prioritizing, and maintaining the product backlog for assigned products;
Drafting and iterating user stories in the product backlog with the scrum team;
Managing epics, features, and user stories to be completed by delivery teams aligned to the product’s vision;
Collaborating with the Product Management team on roadmap prioritization;
Coordinating with the Scrum Master and Tech Lead on priorities, approach, and delivery, while driving alignment with delivery teams;
Aligning deliverables to business requirements and acceptance criteria;
Applying knowledge of user-centered design principles and a customer-first mindset;
Applying user experience (UX) design and product design to meet customer expectations;
Engaging in thoughtful, articulate, and persuasive verbal and written communication; and,
Applying analytics and reporting tools to articulate metrics, insights, and opportunities.
