Within PwC Technology’s CTO pillar, the senior Product Manager serves as the primary liaison between PwC stakeholders and functional/technical teams for their respective product(s), responsible for delivery of products against the product vision, business requirements, and customer’s needs.

The applicant should have 6+ years of technical product management experience such as creating strategic product roadmaps and working with cross-functional teams. The applicant should demonstrate technical expertise in cloud infrastructure related areas to drive product vision, obtain stakeholder and customer buy-in, and facilitate design discussions with engineering and architecture teams. Specific to cloud infrastructure, the applicant should have an understanding of enterprise cloud infrastructure providers (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP) and their services, related enabling technologies such as containers (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) and APIs, and microservices architecture.

Key success factors for this role include the ability to independently work with and manage expectations of senior-level stakeholders, focus on strategic thinking and business alignment, plan roadmaps and sequence features to deliver incremental value in collaboration with the product teams. As such, the applicant should demonstrate extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a leader in the following areas:

  • Engaging with customers to understand challenges to define product requirements;

  • Establishing, iterating, and executing on the product vision and product roadmap based on stakeholder and customer feedback;

  • Evangelising the product vision, design principles, and industry leading practises to stakeholders and product delivery teams;

  • Translating product roadmaps into well-defined product requirements that are concise, measurable, and flexible enough to meet customer needs;

  • Defining epics and features aligned to the product’s vision to be decomposed by product owners and product delivery teams;

  • De-conflicting requirements and dependencies across product workstreams to inform roadmaps;

  • Collaborating with Product Owners on roadmap prioritisation and applying critical thinking and decision making on potential conflicting priorities;

  • Maintaining alignment with product development teams to more effectively handle customer inquiries and requests;

  • Validating delivered features meet customer needs and business requirements;

  • Coaching small multidisciplinary product teams and collaborating with designers, business users, and developers to innovate and drive product development;

  • Conducting market research to understanding evolving trends and opportunities to automate, simplify, and enhance the existing platform;

  • Being an influential voice on behalf of the customer, constantly thinking about their needs and the reflection of those needs in the products we deliver and refine;

  • Engaging in thoughtful, articulate, and persuasive verbal and written communication; and,

  • Applying analytics and reporting tools to articulate metrics, insights, and opportunities.
