Our team helps organisations set their compensation strategies through analysis of industry benchmarks, company policies and culture, and employee performance. As part of our team, you’ll help our clients determine their compensation structure, executive pay packages, legal and regulatory requirements, tax implications, and financial reporting and accounting advice.

Required Knowledge and Skills :

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader in the following areas:

  • Drives projects based on application of robust knowledge of equity/stock based compensation;

  • Leads various sized project teams on engagements in an inclusive, collaborative and fast-paced environment, defining project workflows, managing resources, prioritize responsibilities and tasks in order to deliver quality and timely results while assisting in the financial administration of engagements such as budgets, billing and collections;

  • Engages proactively with clients to identify challenges, recommend solutions and manage expectations utilizing active listening skills to gain understanding of key customer and market issues;

  • Prepares final drafts of major deliverables assuring quality control;

  • Stakeholder management and communications to obtain awareness, understanding, buy-in, and support;

  • Builds and enhances client relationships enabling identification of additional consulting projects, and supporting the development process, responding to requests for proposals, etc.; and,

  • Leads, coaches, and motivates team members, promoting a collaborative work environment by providing strategic and balanced oversight, proactively sharing insights, knowledge and experience.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills :

Demonstrates extensive abilities and understanding of the structuring of design, regulatory, compliance, financial reporting and technical aspects of equity compensation arrangements in either a major law-firm, consulting or corporate environment with areas of focus to include a combination of any of the following:

  • Equity/Stock based compensation (domestic and international treatment);

  • Knowledge of employer payroll/tax/compliance obligations for stock plans (domestic and global), including payroll administration/process for equity/stock based compensation;

  • Experience of working with different equity administration vendors and knowledge of industry practices;

  • Payroll administration, day to day processes, ability to understand the payroll life cycle and challenges;

  • Knowledge of employee tax and compliance obligations for equity/stock based compensation;

  • Experience of supporting equity/stock based compensation transfer/conversion in merger and acquisition transactions;

  • Compensation tax, policy research, analysis and working with complex tax issues;

  • Financial Wellness programs to provide broad based and executive education and guidance on benefit plans and total rewards; and,

  • Broad based Total Rewards, Compensation and Benefits including, qualified and non-qualified plans, executive compensation and health & welfare arrangements, compensation plan design, theories, common practices and their administration.
