PwC's US Finance organization is a strategic business advisor responsible for managing the firm's financial risk, including: financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with strategic and tactical matters. Services include: budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, data and analytics related to portfolio performance, shared services and financing. Finance works daily with US Leadership, engagement partners and managers on managing the profitability of engagements and the overall business portfolio. Finance also works closely with the Network on portfolio management and investment decisions and has assisted other PwC Network firms regionalize their financial operations. Finance also analyzes potential acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships and divestitures, assisting with all integration and separation matters likely to arise.
The Domestic and International Accounting Operations team oversees the functions and processes related to financial operations of the US Firm and it's Foreign subsidiaries.
The Accounting Operations department is responsible for recording accurate accounting for many significant Firm complex transactions and provides financial information and guidance to Firm leadership enabling well informed, strategic business decisions; supports senior leadership needs for recurring qualitative financial analysis and research.
Minimum Years of Experience: 7 years experience in a finance role within a finance/accounting organization
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree
Certification(s) Preferred: CPA
Demonstrated knowledge in providing financial analysis, reporting and assistance to leaders in the areas of project maintenance, cost management and operational analysis.
Demonstrated knowledge overseeing/leading monthly, quarterly and fiscal year-end accounting, analysis and reporting processes.
Demonstrated understanding of SAP financial system.
Demonstrated ability to:
Manage and lead the day-to-day operations of an Accounting department.
Implement guidelines for account methodology and procedures as part of the day-to-day, monthly, quarterly and fiscal year-end closing processes.
Develop new tools to allow analysis/review of financial areas requiring attention.
Develop and implement controls and procedures to enable timely and accurate processing, analysis and reporting
Provide strategic and operational planning support to the department leader and assists in effective change, proactively looks to improve processes and strengthen internal controls.
Apply knowledge and understanding of the Firm's standard suite of work solutions.
Use and understand Firm-wide technical tools
Influence target audiences to build consensus or agreement on difficult issues (e.g., proposed changes in operating procedures, development of new methodologies or approaches).
Complete, with little or no guidance, ad hoc assignments/projects as assigned by management and utilize past experience and demonstrated knowledge to make judgment calls
Coach, train, build and lead team in a wide variety of areas including but not limited to teaming, interpersonal skills, relationship building, and business knowledge.
Provide support and counsel to customers; liaises with Line of Service/functional groups to make sure delivery of appropriate customer reporting needs.
Working experience in developing, managing and reviewing analysis of financial results.
