The Product Analyst will represent the GCDO organization as part of the Internal Data Product Team and act as a key interface across internal and global stakeholder teams. This role will establish processes and standards to gather requirements and maintain the health of the product backlog, work with stakeholders to intake new demand and document high-level requirements, and interface with the delivery pods to assist in feature prioritisation, grooming, and sprint planning activities.

The Internal Data Product Management Team is responsible for managing the intake, requirements, and prioritisation of use cases based on demand across global internal stakeholder groups. Our core product offering is to provide stakeholders with access to internal data sets in the form of reusable insight services that are easily accessible, robust, intuitive, secured, and governed.
The Internal Data Product Analyst will represent the internal products management vision and strategy, interact with internal stakeholders to manage the intake of new demand, and collaborate across functional and technical teams to drive process efficiencies and alignment with the product vision.
Key success factors for this role include the ability to align and participate in the internal data product strategy and roadmap, understand stakeholder use cases and business needs, translate high-level requirements into epics and features, map requirements to data sources and insight services, and facilitate the prioritisation and handoff of requirements to the delivery pods for further analysis, modeling, engineering, and testing.
As such, the applicant should demonstrate thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader in the following areas:
Utilizing stakeholder management and communication, including facilitating workshops to understand requirements and streamline demand intake for the delivery team;
Demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint, including roadmap creation, slide development, and executive-level storytelling;
Coordinating with business stakeholders to implement outcomes aligned to our core product offering, ensuring success criteria has been agreed upon with stakeholders and effectively communicated to the development and testing teams;
Applying analytical skills to determine and document accurate business requirements and present these requirements in a manner that is concise, measurable, and flexible enough to meet stakeholder needs;
Understanding the business implications of the application of data within the current business environment, and prepare specific requirements from which insight services can be developed based on design standards and reusable architecture patterns;
Coordinating with pods and internal technical teams to ensure quality delivery and implementations, quality check and maintain the agreed to acceptance criteria, communicate and plan for changes and support;
Participating in planning and prioritisation activities to develop and agree on requirements, program increments, sprint objectives, and release schedules;
Firm understanding of Agile development principles and experience working on an Agile team (e.g., Scrum, SAFe) with an onshore/offshore delivery model;
Defining and managing epics and features to be further refined and completed by the internal data business analysts and modelers in alignment with the product management vision;
Demonstrating previous experience and exposure to data-driven product implementation, specifically data engineering, data warehousing and virtualization, and reporting/analytics solutions; and,
Working knowledge with respect to SQL query development and debugging, data modeling concepts, understanding of ETL techniques and technologies, and software development and testing methodologies.
