The Global Chief Data Office (GCDO) is a global function in PwC recognizing the data driven nature of the organization and enablement of new digital practices. The Data Governance & Policy function within the GCDO is responsible for helping PwC’s data assets be proactively and effectively managed, whilst aligning future state governance to the GCDO vision.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills :

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader including:

  • Delivering vision and strategy documents for Data Governance & Policy capabilities in the GCDO;

  • Supporting the creation, drafting and approval of both GCDO and network policies, standards and other documents;

  • Helping develop and implement GCDO strategies, including supporting documentation around client, internal and third party data;

  • Supporting development of data access and authorization for global systems;

  • Supporting alignment of the GCDO with the global office of legal counsel, global risk management and other global functions;

  • Providing ongoing support of alignment across GCDO pillars with Data Governance & Policy functions;

  • Researching, collecting and analyzing information to help develop and draft policies, standards and other documents to support the Global Data Strategy;

  • Supporting the development towards new global access and authorization, including the documentation of these requirements;

  • Managing and organizing meetings with key global stakeholder groups throughout the document creation process;

  • Delivering in a highly matrixed, fluid environment;

  • Demonstrating written and oral communication skills;

  • Collaborating in an international environment, comfortable with flexible working arrangements;

  • Supporting territories with data problems and data questions, and facilitating their resolution with relevant subject matter experts; and,

  • Building relationships with the data leaders and the Chief Data Officer community, understanding their key challenges and working with subject matter experts to address those.
