PwC Global NIS/PwC Tech People Team - Talent Consultant Sr Mgr in Tampa, Florida

Our team helps bridge the relationship between leadership and employees at PwC through Human Resources solutions. You’ll handle issues on operation management, strategic partnership, employee relations and emergency responding.


As a Senior Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Directors and above

  • Be involved in the financial management of clients

  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients

  • Develop project strategies to solve complex technical challenges for our clients

  • Manage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team

  • Shape and deliver projects to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients and our own quality criteria

  • Train, coach, and supervise team members

  • Continue to develop internal relationships and developing your PwC brand

Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader in human resources policies and practices, preferably within a professional services environment, including, but not limited to, the following areas:

  • Serving as a trusted advisor to partners/leaders with a focus on accelerating the development of people;

  • Collaborating with partners/leaders to identify issues & develop & execute action plans across all areas of people strategy including diversity, development, performance management, & rewards & recognition;

  • Leading partners/leaders to identify & manage high-potential talent, succession plan, retention efforts;

  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with identified staff with goal of understanding & facilitating career objectives & employee engagement/satisfaction (e.g., career interests, mobility, distinctive experiences & diversity initiatives);

  • Focusing on diversity initiatives;

  • Collaborating with partners/leaders and deployment consultants, consult with Office of Diversity as needed;

  • Facilitating mid-year check-in to identify performance trends, promotion candidates, high-potentials & diversity initiatives;

  • Supporting partners/leaders as they prepare for annual Career Roundtable meetings (e.g., identify performance concerns, finalize compensation, diversity initiatives & Career Outlook preparation);

  • Supporting new hires & intern assimilation to the group, including Coach and RL alignment, reviewing initial client assignments & chargeability & diversity initiatives;

  • Demonstrating people management including offboarding activities, consulting with senior HR professionals/OGC, departures, & collaborating with E&C on employee relations matters/ departures & investigations;

  • Supporting onboarding & facilitate the off-boarding of third-party labor resources, as requested, maintaining relationship with goal of retention;

  • Participating in Managing Director(MD) process, including identification of internal promotion candidates, business case articulation & metric validation--supporting partners/leaders in the external hiring of MD candidates including the preparation of the business case for hire, interview selection/coordination & onboarding of MD hires;

  • Applying coaching skills to increase effectiveness of partners, managers & career coaches in leading their teams;

  • Implementing talent strategy Y& leverage tools and industry leading practices developed by the Centers of Excellence (CoEs) such as LDE and Rewards;

  • Establishing and leveraging relationships with deployment consultants to impact our people experience, to maximize retention, staff coaching & development & effectiveness of diversity initiatives;

  • Liaising with Global Mobility teams on short & long term talent deployment, package review & transition, & repatriation;

  • Supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust & seek diverse views to encourage improvement & innovation;

  • Demonstrating ability to answer questions & provide direction to less-experienced staff;

  • Coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written & verbal feedback as well as communicating value propositions;

  • Building, maintaining, and leveraging networks of relationships & community involvement;

  • Managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, & collection; and,

  • Preparing or coordinating complex written & verbal materials.

Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or proven record of success in a professional services environment utilizing an array of digital skills to drive higher value, lower cost, and a tech-enabled people experience, including:

  • Using design thinking and agile project management techniques;

  • Maintaining knowledge of current & emerging HR trends & experience innovating with new technology tools;

  • Analyzing data & communicating data insights to drive decision making (leveraging tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, etc.); and,

  • Leveraging Google tools to drive efficiency, productivity & collaboration.
