Job Description

PwC's US Finance organization is a strategic business advisor responsible for managing the firm's financial risk, including: financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with strategic and tactical matters. Services include: budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, data and analytics related to portfolio performance, shared services and financing. Finance works daily with US Leadership, engagement partners and managers on managing the profitability of engagements and the overall business portfolio. Finance also works closely with the Network on portfolio management and investment decisions and has assisted other PwC Network firms regionalize their financial operations. Finance also analyzes potential acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships and divestitures, assisting with all integration and separation matters likely to arise.

PwC is comprised of a network of independent firms across the globe that is supported by PwC International Limited (PwCIL). PwCIL houses centralized functions, including Network Tax, which supports member firms and network initiatives. Network Tax is a strategic business advisor supporting member firms in managing the tax risk including tax planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with strategic and tactical matters. The Network Tax team is responsible for oversight of the tax affairs of PwC member firms, and specifically monitoring and managing tax risk within the PwC Network, compliance oversight and ad hoc project work.

Position/Program Requirements

Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 2

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree

Degree Preferred: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Certification(s) Preferred: CPA or Active Member of the Bar

Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates thorough knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Domestic/international tax;​

​- U.S. federal tax entity classification rules; and​

  • Partnership Tax Accounting or Tax Law​.

Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Interacting with management/leaders to resolve issues and proactively report potential issues​;

  • Researching and analyzing pertinent technical matters;

  • Delivering work project quality with minimal revisions that satisfy requirements consistently​;

  • Demonstrating problem solving with attention to detail, coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously​ and working independently with minimal supervision;

  • Working cohesively as part of a team;​

  • Building solid relationships with partners, managers, staff members, and other Firm's Finance groups;

  • Monitoring workloads of team members, providing meaningful feedback in a timely manner, and keeping leadership informed of progress and issues; and,

  • Communicating effectively,​ both written and verbally. ​
