Job Description

As part of the Business Operations Systems portfolio within PwC, the introduction of Workday to the PwC network is a strategic initiative focused on providing our people with the connectivity, support, and platform to become a truly global organisation through a fully evolved, fully integrated Talent suite of standardised processes and tools across the network. The team interacts with individuals from around the world whilst supporting and developing skills and expertise as one of the market-leading HCM SaaS Providers.

The PwC Workday Support team has responsibility for delivering support and operational activities to 153 member firms across the PwC network, which includes approximately 230,000 partners and staff.

Position/Program Requirements

Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 8

Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or GED

Degree Preferred: Bachelor's degree

Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates thought leader-level knowledge with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in the following areas:

  • Operating within Level 3 of the Global IT Support Model and providing oversight across all areas of Global HC Talent applications, both technical and functional;

  • Understanding the Global HC application technical architecture, data and integrations;

  • Maintaining not only knowledge of Workday capabilities but also a broad awareness of technology across applications and PwC infrastructure to establish solutions are fit for purpose and do not impact organizational readiness; and

  • Providing consulting services to our Global Processes Owners and other governance stakeholders where appropriate.

Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in the following areas:

  • Acting as a check and balance for all new solutions developed, including any significant changes to the design of existing configuration to establish that PwC is leveraging functionality correctly, the solution is fit for purpose, meets security considerations, and continues to align with the implementation guiding principles;

  • Maintaining touch points within the PwC environment, establishing that data is consumed by a downstream capability or service, any changes made at source are communicated more widely and any impacts are taken into account and remediated in a timely manner;

  • Reporting to the IT Program Leader for Human Capital Talent; the Solution Architect will have overall responsibility for delivery of the HC Talent Solutions to the network;

  • Understanding of Solution Architecture in an HC-related field;

  • Understanding of the HC Hire to Retire lifecycle.

  • Working in a large team and contributing positively to the success of the team as a whole;

  • Identifying, understanding, and quantifying technical risk and advise on how to mitigate that risk whilst still meeting requirements;

  • Understanding of stakeholder management skills and leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop junior team members;

  • Developing and executing continuous service improvement plans;

  • Maintaining not only a deep knowledge of all Talent application capabilities but also a broad awareness of technology across applications and PwC infrastructure to establish solutions are fit for purpose and do not impact organizational readiness;

  • Establishing positive relationships with the key stakeholders in the area of business for which the team is responsible for providing a service to;

  • Providing context, direction, roadmaps, and standards based on talent application capabilities to enable the future strategic direction of Human Capital within PwC; and,

  • Providing mentoring across the support organization supporting the use of Talent applications.
