PwC Scrum Master Manager - Finance Operations and Strategic Initiatives in Tampa, Florida

A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. You’ll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud.

Our Process Improvement and Management team helps identify opportunities and utilise lean methodologies that facilitate process improvement and efficient resource management. As part of our team, you’ll help evaluate existing systems within accounts receivable and payable, financial management and merchandise chargebacks to identify optimisation opportunities.

Responsibilities

As a Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above

  • Be involved in the financial management of clients

  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients

  • Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen

  • Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges

  • Assist in the management and delivering of large projects

  • Train, coach, and supervise staff

  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues

  • Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success partnering with Product Owners, Delivery teams, and key customers/stakeholders in the following areas:

  • Understanding of the Scrum framework, Scrum values, Agile mindset, principles and values with the ability to train others in its subtleties;

  • Creating a culture where Agile methodology is understood and in place, inside the Scrum Team and within the organization;

  • Coaching and influencing at all levels to promote increased business agility, stable Scrum team velocity, predictability, innovation and quality; removing obstacles and impediments where needed;

  • Facilitating Sprint events (i.e. Retrospectives);

  • Understanding how to create and maintain the Product Backlog, and finding techniques for effective Product Backlog refinement and management; and,

  • Understanding product planning in an empirical, enterprise environment.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader in delivering projects including the following areas:

  • Leading and coaching the organization in Agile adoption;

  • Applying agile methodology to identify, escalate, and remove team impediments that jeopardize success;

  • Influencing scrum team members to identify and address project issues, including leadership and interdependent teams, and to promote self-directed and productive teams;

  • Defining external metrics that help the organization understand the value delivered;

  • Communicating shared vision while fostering transparency and visibility; and,

  • Coaching/Mentoring Team, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Leadership on Agile values and principles, and various Agile approaches (Scrum, Kanban and scaling framework).
