Responsibilities

As a Specialist, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively support multiple work streams or project teams to execute against an existing project or work plan

  • Promote, manage and deliver the continuous improvement of activities and service delivery

  • Display effective organization skills, managing multiple and competing priorities and coaching others to improve these skills

  • Propose solutions to manage client expectations and managing the delivery of the solution

  • Display attention to detail in executing and reviewing work products to ensure the highest quality deliverables in the allotted timeframe

  • Integrate and synthesize information from multiple sources in order to analyze complex data and results, anticipate issues and solve problems

Required Knowledge and Skills :

Demonstrates some abilities and/or a proven record of success in roles involving a global network of professional services consulting firms, emphasizing involvement with Risk Assurance client service knowledge with internal and external teams, emphasizing the following areas:

  • Building relationships with Risk Assurance engagement teams, or ETs, being proactive in engaging ETs throughout work cycle;

  • Delivering high-quality standards and providing timely checks of all deliverables;

  • Assessing and providing process improvements to attain optimal work flow and quality;

  • Adhering to quality standards and oversight into process workflows and quickly learning workflow management tools; and,

  • Using operating guides and other working practice documents to establish all are utilized by all team members, and contribute to ongoing development and management of departmental practices.

-U nderstanding of accounting principles obtained through prior work experience, as applicable;

Intermediate to advanced use of Microsoft Excel, including use of macros, pivot tables, formulas and formatting; Technical aptitude for learning new applications and databases;

-Commiting to teamwork as demonstrated in professional, classroom or networking environments;

-Receiving coaching and real-time feedback from Engagement Teams, SDC Supervisors and SDC Managers on a daily basis and ability to apply to future work requests;

-Producing of effective written and verbal communications, especially when interacting with internal and external clients at various levels;

-Paying attention to detail with the ability to participate, communicate and apply knowledge to deliver quality processes in a wide range of projects; and,

-Utilizing effective problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize, communicate and handle multiple tasks/

Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates some abilities and/or a proven record of success of how the testing performed fits into the overall engagement; exercises limited professional judgment through determining test procedures and required evidence, performing controls testing via inquiry or observation, documenting testing performed in accordance with documentation requirements and concluding on results, and evaluating sufficiency and appropriateness of evidence, including:

-Inspection of control processes, determining accuracy of information and compliance with laws, regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles;

-Execution of internal controls, internal and external audit support fieldwork or Sarbanes-Oxley;

-Utilization of procedures listed within the applicable workpapers, as instructions/guidance to perform and document testing performed, concluding on the results;

-Inclusion in the workflow as"preparer" for workpapers in firm’s document management systems in order to conclude on work performed and address follow-up coaching notes; and,

-Utilization of firm tools to obtain support from clients, evaluates the sufficiency of the support received and follows up with the client if additional support is needed;
