As Senior Unity Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building 3D applications for various target platforms including desktop, web-based and VR. You will implement 3D functionality satisfying product requirements and translating design ideas into software experiences for our users. You will collaborate with a variety of roles within the team including product managers, software engineers and UI/UX designers.

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader including the following areas:

  • Implementing software functionality based on product requirements and designs;

  • Designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable code;

  • Communicating with team members to establish effective logic pipelines and integrate 3D assets;

  • Establishing responsiveness of applications as an informed tradeoff with visual quality and code complexity;

  • Identifying architectural/computational constraints and devise solutions to mitigate them;

  • Utilizing Unity, including scripting, 3D asset manipulation, textures, animation, GUI styles, and user session management;

  • Designing and planning;

  • Understanding of basic application physics, article systems and agent navigation;

  • Utilizing desktop, web-based and mobile deployment targets;

  • Optimizing memory and space usage for support of older hardware;

  • Understanding of industry-standard code versioning tools such as Git;

  • Utilizing deployment and development to VR hardware targets;

  • Understanding of mobile or AAA titles is a plus;

  • Integrating with cloud-based technologies;

  • Understanding of object-oriented programming;

  • Understanding of current design and architectural patterns;

  • Writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code; and,

  • Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
