PwC User Research & Usability Insights Leader- Commercial(PwC Labs) in Tampa, Florida

As the Director of User Researcher you will capture the needs of our business and emerging technology platforms by conducting interviews and translating them into personas, empathy maps, journey maps, and process/workflow maps. You will be responsible for communicating research findings and insights to design teams and leadership in clear, concise, and compelling ways.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills :

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts including:

  • Establishing the UX research vision for our product;

  • Sharing tangible findings and prioritized recommendations regularly ensuring outcomes align to business goals;

  • Building our own research toolkit including interviews, surveys, concept studies, usability testing, ethnographic observations, card sorting, participatory design, etc;

  • Building, growing, and nurturing partnerships with product managers, designers, data scientists, customer operations, and engineers;

  • Thinking holistically about our product experience as we evolve our ecosystem;

  • Identifying and acting upon opportunities to support customer success and business goals through compelling user research;

  • Conducting and creating impact from your hands-on research;

  • Conducting interviews for internal stakeholders to understand the business vision and requirements;

  • Conducting POC interviews with users;

  • Facilitating workshops and conduct user testing;

  • Conducting research using interview, observational, and facilitation skills;

  • Gathering market research and industry patterns to help inform/inspire design for various features and functions across mobile and desktop experiences; and,

  • Conducting basic market research to inform product positioning and feature development.

Demonstrates thought leader-level knowledge and/or a proven record of success in:

  • Having a broad and deep understanding of qualitative and quantitative UX research methods, and experience with when and how to apply different methods;

  • Presenting to groups, creating compelling stories from data, and building relationships across interdisciplinary partners;

  • Having a genuine passion for finely-crafted user experiences that are both elegant and usable;

  • Having previously conducted a range of formative & interactive research, understanding varied UX Research methods and approaches, and have great expertise in Usability Testing;

  • Understanding underlying client business problems;

  • Demonstrating potential in developing and sustaining client relationships, preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials;

  • Utilizing effectively written and verbal business communication skills within a professional business services environment, including interacting with clients and firm staff and/or management;

  • Communicating well with both technical and non-technical audiences;

  • Displaying proven teamwork and interpersonal skills with ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority;

  • Demonstrating an in depth understanding of business operations and procedures, as well as organizational, project management and leadership skills; and,

  • Working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
