Preferred Knowledge/Skills :

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success in:

  • Supporting large projects involving trade compliance, export controls or sanctions and embargoes;

  • Having familiarity with applicable regulatory requirements including the Arms Export Control Act, International Traffic in Arms Regulations, Export Administration Regulations, OFAC sanctions and embargoes, Department of Energy Part 810/Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations and Foreign Trade Regulations;

  • Understanding NISPOM, FOCI and matters before the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) a plus;

  • Designing and executing compliance audits and assessments against regulatory expectations, guidelines and frameworks including government-directed compliance audits arising from export enforcement actions:

  • Designing and executing risk and gap analyses for trade compliance programs;

  • Designing and implementing global trade compliance programs particularly in higher risk geographies including drafting and analyzing policies and procedures;

  • Managing export controlled technology (technical assistance and technical data), identifying and marking technical data designing and assessing export controls compliant IT architecture; and

  • Using tools and technology to provide data analytics and business intelligence on threats, risks and vulnerabilities.

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Supporting client engagements that identify and address client needs;

  • Participating in client discussions and meetings;

  • Supporting multiple project workstreams;

  • Assisting with engagement management activities;

  • Preparing concise and accurate documents, leveraging and utilizing MS Office, Google Suite and Power BI to complete related project deliverables;

  • Assisting with the creation and maintenance of project deliverables as needed;

  • Providing candid, meaningful feedback in a timely manner to team members where necessary;

  • Keeping managers and engagement leadership informed of progress and issues; and,

  • Designing KRIs and metrics to build risk reports for management.
