Additional Job Description

We are looking for a GCP Application Architect who's passionate about helping

customers build applications at scale. Being an experienced technologist with technical depth and breadth, aided with strong interpersonal skills, you will work with our team of motivated technologists delivering end-to-end solutions. You will help customers transition to the cloud in a high-value migration approach that leverages various design patterns and practices in an agile model. The qualified GCP Application Architect will have demonstrated the ability to understand Financial Services domain and connect technology with measurable business value is a critical component to be successful in this role. We seek team members who are self-motivated, driven, collaborative, passionate about Cloud implementations and have a direct positive impact on our customer's success.

You will lead a team of application architects that provide support and services across the enterprise. You will ensure application architecture contributes to enterprise architecture processes and programs while integrating with critical corporate projects. You will define and implement a strategy to modernize security architecture and deliver services to the business in an agile manner.

Job Requirements and Preferences:

● 8+ years of experience architecting, designing, and delivering the applications on large-scale public cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc)

● 10+ years of large-scale software development or application engineering with recent coding experience in two or more of the following languages: Java,

JavaScript, C/C++, C#, Objective-C, Node.js, .NET, Python, PHP or Ruby

● 8+ years of experience as a technical specialist in Customer-facing roles

● Ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges in an enterprise environment.

● Exposure to Agile development methodologies

● Understanding of TOGAF framework is nice to have

● Past experience developing applications in a professional setting or open source, as well as an understanding of tools to automate the software development lifecycle.

● Build prototypes for application technologies, and understand how they fit into the existing environment.

● Hands on experience in designing and building application using Container and serverless technologies

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in the following areas:

● Demonstrate knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features

(multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability)

● Application development experience, developing solutions using GCP based

services/products such as GKE, Cloud SDK, Cloud Storage, Cloud CDN, Anthos,

API Gateways, Apigee API Management, AppSheet

● GCP Workflow Orchestration services such as Cloud Flow, Workflows

● Application development and execution services such as Compute Engine,

Relationa (Cloud SQL, Oracle)l, NoSQL (MongoDB, Firestore), and Caching

technologies (Redis, Memcached).

● Microservices Architecture, 12 Factor Application methodology

● Integration Architecture ( Process API’s, System API’s, Experience API’s )

● Experience with troubleshooting the applications using the log management tools

such as Splunk, ELK, Cloud Trace, Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Operations, etc

● Application monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Data Dog, App Dynamics

● API specification technologies such as Swagger, RAML, OpenAP

● Experience with BPMN solutions such as Pega, Camunda, etc.

Leading development of thought leadership and sales materials to grow the PwC Community, build new client relationships and business opportunities. Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in one or more of the following areas:

● Cloud Platforms (Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, GCP);

● Cloud Strategy, Design, Architecture and Migration;

● DevOps, Automation CI/CD;

● ServiceNow, ITIL, SACM;

● COBIT, Remedy, Service Catalogue, CMDB; and,

● Incident, Problem and Change Management.
