Our growing industry vertical team includes clients within Industrial Products, Energy, and Utilities & Mining sectors. Specific areas of focus include product innovation and development, supply chain, manufacturing operations, service operations, and capital asset programs and operations. Power & Utilities Asset Management consultants help clients optimize capital investment decisions and work & resource plans to enhance reliability, mitigate risk, and maximize returns.

Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP), or American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS)

Preferred Knowledge/Skills :

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success leading efforts in consulting, designing, & implementing business process and technology solutions for gas and/or electric utility operations and asset management, including the following:

  • Participating in the assessment and improvement of business processes, including leveraging SAP and/or Maximo application modules;

  • Demonstrating proven thorough knowledge and success, as both an individual contributor & team member by identifying and addressing client needs, actively participating in client discussions & meetings, managing client engagements, & maintaining project economics with flexibility for unanticipated issues;

  • Demonstrating proven thorough knowledge and success as a team leader;

  • Supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust & seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation;

  • Demonstrating proven knowledge and experience in gas transmission and/or distribution engineering, construction, or integrity management (TIMP and/or DIMP) operations;

  • Understanding of gas and electric transmission & distribution utilities' business, organization, regulatory requirements, and common asset and work types;

  • Identifying and addressing client needs, building solid relationships with clients, developing an awareness of Firm services, communicating with the client in an organized & knowledgeable manner, delivering clear requests for information, demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing & completing tasks, and communicating potential conflicts to a supervisor;

  • Demonstrating proven experience & success supporting and driving business development, proposals, and sales activities;

  • Developing implementation plans and business cases, and building client stakeholder and sponsor consensus and support; and,

  • Demonstrating a thorough level of abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader by defining and communicating individual and team roles, building solid relationships with team members, proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback, and providing guidance, clarification and feedback to less-experienced staff to deliver client engagements on schedule and on budget.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Designing, implementing, and supporting cross-functional business process improvements and associated technology solutions and enhancements;

  • Demonstrating data analytics skills and experience developing mathematical models in R, Python, SAS, MATLAB, and/or SPSS;

  • Utilizing asset and integrity management software packages including ESRI ArcGIS, Copperleaf C55, Opvantek Optimain DS, and/or DNV GL Synergi Pipeline;

  • Using GIS-based tools to visualize data and drive analytic insights;

  • Demonstrating experience with data cleansing, conversion, migration and work planning and execution in Maximo and/or SAP;

  • Directing on-shore and off-shore resources to organize and profile large data sets to develop risk models;

  • Preparing and modeling data in SQL, Tableau, and/or Qlik;

  • Demonstrating process design mapping skills in Visio and/or IBM Blueworks; and,

  • Demonstrating MS Office software skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project).
