A Process Engineer is a specialized role that uses BPM technologies (i.e. business process management solutions, business rules tools) to deliver solutions that support configurable but aligned business processes that allow for flows that support users’ goals and expected outcomes.

Demonstrating intimate-level knowledge of and/or proven record of success in:
Working with business teams (key stakeholders both management and operational) and the BOS Solution teams to understand existing project processes and to design new cross-project processes and solve process-related problems;.
Mapping existing processes and working with cross-functional teams to design and capture future business process requirements;
Leading interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis;
Evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details and abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding;
Interpreting differing business needs and terminology into a common understanding that are documented as business requirements. These will form the basis for the functional requirements for the relevant BOS solutions.;
Analysing business processes and workflows with the objective of finding out how they can be improved or automated;
Seeing the big picture, understanding project objectives and being able to apply their understanding of how processes should work to operational improvement initiatives;
Understanding of the professional services industry, ideally with a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm;
Leveraging knowledge of process mapping and business process reengineering;
Leading process (re)design workshops with stakeholders of all levels in an organization that involve eliciting process requirements and liaising with users;
Documenting of workflows, process maps, business rules;
Assessing and documenting potential change impacts (on people, process and technology) of the “to be” process designs;
Applying their knowledge of business process modelling notations (BPMN, DMN, EPC, BPEL) to documenting processes; and,
Understanding of how ERP, BPM, CRM and BI tools operate and a demonstrable experience of various tools within this area.
